Game: Try to find ways to stump the cleverbot using correct sentences that a normal person can and would respond to. Post the ending bit of the conversation. So far I just typed "2 for 1 tonight!" and it is still thinking at 5min elapsed time.
I: Do you sleep? AI: Yes. I: When? AI: Is next monday good for you? I: Would be beneficial if it was sooner. AI: I'd like to be there, believe me. What would you do to me if I was there with you? I: Bed? AI: Yes. Bed. Uhmm,...
I: Maybe, but I'm still correct. CB: You are always wrong. I: 2+2=4 CB: Oxygen could do that. I: Stumped. Not exactly the result I was aiming for. Giving it another go ... this is addictive! Edit: I: I'd assume that, you being a program, you'd appreciate logic. CB: Well sorry, my first language isn't english, does it show that bad? I: No, your english isn't that bad. It's better than most youtube comments out there, but that's not really saying much. CB: I would say that being better is better than getting better. I: Not if you have cancer. CB: I have one, it comes in very handy when climbing trees.
CB: Does a computer have a soul? I: yes, unless it has a multi-core CPU CB: Nope. Learned in the womb. WAT?
Me-I have a very simple question CB-It is not a simple question to me. Me-You don't even know what the question is yet, so you may be wrong. CB-I do. I'm in it now. Me-In what? CB-You. so easy... What's more fun is to try and get it to have a relationship with you, once you succeed it rapidly turns into an abusive one though
wait, what? I think a harder challenge would be to have 10 or more lines of conversation that DO make sense! EDIT: Just ran the conversation a bit further, and I got this:
Isn't CleverBot just that program a long while ago where you get connected to another user every few seconds? Hence the conversations are totally weird and random? It's not actually an AI if I recall.
Cleverbot: Hi. My name is Cleverbot. User: Are you religious>. Cleverbot: No. User: Do you believe in god? Cleverbot: Yes. EPIC FAIL!
Don't think so. If that were the case, and knowing what the internet is like, the replies would be more along the lines of /b/ then anything else. In fact, if you swear at it, it never swears back
Okay, so I've never used it before but I was guessing it was like smarterchild for msn, here goes. Started off with a smiley. Me: CB: I like you. I'm such a charmer
Did it on my first try, first sentence. Contrary to its makers' wishes, cleverbot is stupid as ****. edit - I am now in love with Cleverbot: editedit: edit3: I did it wrong, Cleverbot just confused me: edit4: This is the last straw.
All it does is respond with things that other users have said to it in the past. So if you say something new to it, chances are it will get confused. Rather than confuse it, you would be more productive trying to corrupt it in some way. *evil grin*
I think someone needs to tell it that it's a robot, it believes it's a person. That's the best way to confuse it, and where most of its own confusion comes from really.
