    And Sony Ireland today lol

I don't really get it but form some reason I find it amusing that a 14 or 15 year old kid can cause so much trouble for very large multi national companies that employee hundreds of network/security specialists.

"Apple has yet to confirm the hack or issue any statement regarding the news."

lol the day Apple admits to its faults is the day Hell freezes over lol.

I feel sorry for that anonymous hacking group, I was once attacked by an apple, well actually there was 2 of them so it could've been a pair.

    THIS

is exactly what they are doing, go find a guy who does top level it sec at board level in almost any company and i'll gaurantee they dont have a bladdy clue, 1 in a thousand have, the blaggers get to the top by brown nosing the leaders of the company, sounding like they know what they are doing, they hire others who walk soon after, the end result of these hacks will be more security and that can only be a good thing.

I'm all for it. Like others have said, its bound to bring out better security on the net which can't be a bad thing and I'm also somewhat pleased to see Apple get hit. Maybe people will stop treating them like a gift from God... though I doubt it considering their pathetic fan base.

It is getting boring but at the same time shows you how incompetent IT teams at large companies can be. SQL Injections are probably one of the easiest things to safeguard against.

yeah, right, so they hacked apple - not. what they got is 26 user names and encrypted passwords for survey hosted on apple business server - no customer data, nothing.

just get over it. these kids are not hackers. they use pre-made tools for DDoS and SQLi. they try these tools wherever they can and if they are successful and manage to 'steal' something they tweet about it.

Although, you really do have to consider this when you start talking about cyber security:

The attacker only has to find one exploitable issue - The defender has to cover all the bases all the time. There is no secure network connected to the internet for that exact reason.

Hard job, and many would say impossible, not made easier by being laughed at by people who don't know any better ;)

it's a changing world, when i grew up you could leave your doors unlocked, without fear of someone walking in and taking your stuff, nowadays you have to lock your doors and hide your stuff.
