There are few things on TV I hate more than when a show is cancelled before it reaches a finale. I'm sure there have been a fair number of really good shows that have never reached a climax. There are a few that stand out for me: Flash Forward Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip Firefly Heroes (well, it sort of finished but not really) What are they shows you loved that got cancelled? Which do you think was the best?
Lie To Me and Chicago Code I enjoyed thoroughly. I also quite liked Defying Gravity but that was never going to go anywhere!
Didn't even know Chicago Code got cancelled... Jericho was meant to be good, think I'll try watch that
Yeah, one series Shame, I really liked it. Lie To Me was awesome though, and had decent figures... No idea why it got cancelled. In fact both LTM and CC got 6-7 million... Seem decent enough to not get cut considering House only does 8 or 9 and they'd never think of cutting that. That said, Lie To Me was really going no where. Chicago Code had some serious potential though.
I can already hear the outraged forum members with pitch forks at the ready but The O.C. always had a warm place in my heart.
Season 4 of heroes was getting 6-7 million viewers, seems to be the cut off on the big networks. Supernatural was only getting around 3 million but they have kept it going (and I love that show!)
I also liked it, I remember watching it when in hospital after having my nose rebuilt after a rugby incident. It didn't get cancelled though, it was meant to end there wasn't it?
I only watched the first season. Watched it all in one weekend and felt quite mental afterwards. Just couldn't get into the second.
Firefly is the one that immediately comes to mind for me. Been quite a while since I watched it though, not sure if I should re-watch it to re-live how great it was or if that will make me too sad it didn't continue
Q-F-friggin'-T. Honorary Mention: Firefly, where they had time to film a disappointing ending to a good show...
Farscape, though the Peace Keeper Wars mini-series was a fitting end. O.C, no idea why they killed off the main character around which most of the plot revolved. Most stuff that gets canceled is on Sky so I never got to see it to start with, will make amends at some point. Also, must mention RobotWars too, just because ( if it stayed on BBC2 it would have been fine, but they jumped ship to Ch5 and it only lasted one or two seasons as half the country at the time couldn't receive Ch5 )...
liked that hercules with kevin sorbo or think that is his name.. then he left and did andromeda which thought was really good too (pretty sure they were both cancelled) I dunno something about his laid back style.. he's not like these jersey shore crackheads that run tv.. like if I was in a bathroom with kevin- I wouldn't be worried about my backside
