I'm trying to get the SMP client up and running. Having installed MPICH successfully, I cannot get the client executable to run. The command prompt box just flashes and disappears, and when I try to run it from within the command prompt, nothing happens. Anyone got any suggestions?

    Have you run install.bat?
Have you downloaded the new drop in binary from the website?

My guess is you've got caught by the recent change of client. If you download the package called "Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008 SMP client console version" then the client you get when you unpack is the 6.23 version, which expired earlier this month, and unhelpfully, doesn't give any sort of error message.

Once you have unpacked "Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008 SMP client console version" you need to download "Drop-in binary for current Windows SMP console client (6.24)" and drop it into the folder in place of the 6.23 client.

New drop in binary made it work. Thanks for the help.
