For minimum specs, I think those are the highest I've seen.

Looks impressive though, so it'd be worth it.

They seriously need to make this have simulation mode and an arcade mode.

ARMA2 has too many buttons and makes the game hard work. They need a gui interface for orders similar to BF2.

This will then make the game more accessable for casual gamers which in turn will make them more money.

I can't go back to games without destructible scenery after BFBC2!

High minimum specs. I think 2012 is when I will think about replacing my CPU.

Well I guess making the min specs so ridiculous is one way to leave 80% of PC gamers out in the cold.

Lol..you think that will help?.....even the most powerful rig back in 2009 when ARMA II launched was next to useless at running it..

Even today, you will struggle to build a PC that can run it at a consistantly smooth frame rate above 30fps....and please note the word 'consistantly'.

Minimum specs: Core i5 and a 5770. WOW! Nice to see a dev taking advantage of the PC's sheer power.

Unless they plan on releasing in late 2012 (after december 21st :D ?), then those minimum specs seem a bit high. I'm all for cutting out the integrated graphics and low end cards, but unless this is going to be DX11 only, support for some of the high end (at the time) DX10 cards (ATI 48xx series, etc) should be included, even if they have to run at 640x480.

Remember, this is a hardcore shooter, made for hardcore PC gamers - not some kind of COD ripoff. Those types of people will likely have access to the latest hardware.

Also, a 5770 isnt exactly cutting edge now, and certainly won't be in 2012.

I've only just got my PC to run Arma 2 smoothly, and now I read this. Hopefully it will still be enough.

I don't know, I consider myself one of the 'hardcore' but that doesn't make me any less broke :(

ARMA 2 ran rather decently on my 4850. Doubt this will, though.
