    Hey guys and gals,

I see a hell of alot of amazing work on these forums from modders with ingenious ideas , and I hoping my build lives upto the high standard of others.

Anyway this is my new project!

    Hardware:
    CPU: Intel i7
    Mobo: Gigabyte X58A-OC
    RAM: 24GB Corsair Dominator GT
    GPU: 2 EVGA 580s

    Design/CAD

Still need to model up the cards and other mobo bits.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

While I am currently working on the design I have been getting most of the components ready.

Strip back the stock coolers ready for EKWBs to arrive which should be early part of next week.

I started to straighten up the rad fins and prepare it for a lick of paint.

Will let it dry and post pictures when I paint it orange.

PLEASE NOTE: I am rubbish with photographs (as you can see) so please bare with me! :D

I will update as much as I can.

    Regards

There should be an "Edit" button somewhere in your post, in the bottom part, if I'm right.

Small parts update as I am still modelling up the motherboard, and how to run the tubing.
I have also added some of the components logos that I will laser in with the rest of the cable holes, they will be backed with perspex and have LEDs set into it Orange and White... Let me know what you guys think?

    Nice packages arrived aswell..
Made myself alittle l3p ram castle.
Red heatsinks will be removed for the waterblock, as it doesn't really fit in with my colour scheme!

    These arrived from EKWBs also...

And this man needs no introductions...

    A very bright orange! :D

More build updates soon! Might start sleeving the PSU now..

    Looks very cool indeed!
The black/orange is a lovely theme, almost went with it for my upcomming build.
AS a CNC machinist you should have made your own blocks tho ;)
Looking forward to seeing more from you. The case design looks cool :)

Hey got a small update for you, unfortunately we have been very busy at work and I was unable to get on the laser to do my 'homework', I now have a free weekend which I can jump on there and get my blanks cut out.

I spent alittle time developing out the main front panel as I have only got enough 2.0mm Aluminium to have one go at it, if not I need to order some in and we don't want to waiting any longer! :nono:

I had to adjust the blank by 0.2mm because I was alittle shy on my working out.
I have now added it and made amendments to the laser program.

Meanwhile I had a little time to finally paint the Rads, although I asked for Electric Orange..
It turned out more 'Golden'! :eyebrow:

:grr: Not really what I wanted.. So need to get some proper Orange and have a word with them about there colour codes..

Ive also put the water blocks on the RAM and GPUs..

The CPU will have to wait as I have to laser a custom backplate as I feel the one they gave me is rather ugly!

More soon, and sorry for the small update!

    Phame :)

    Hey,
Sorry haven't really posted to often been difficult, to much on!

I have bought some Corsair SP120 Fans for my Rads..

I've painted the white rings Orange and the side of the Rad..

    I'm liking it alot!! :D

I had a chance to jump on the laser and quickly cut the the CPU backplate.. This is what I came up with...

    Here it is installed...

Stole this idea from L3P, thanks dude good thinking!!! :thumb:

I drilled the holes out to 4.7mm for my capheads..

Then buzzed the ends off with the bandsaw..

Had to mill off some off the heatsink fins for it to butt up against the RAM waterblock..

    Done! :thumb:

Wouldn't really fit with the colour scheme if the are RED now would they :D

Gave them a little lick with the can..

I also did the top of the CPU tensioners..

    Thanks for looking guys..

    Peace out

    Phame :)

So its been a while since my last update.
This one is pretty big with lots of nice piccies..

Managed to squeeze my stuff on to the laser as the boss had a couple of days holiday.. :thumb:

Added the hank bushes to screw the backplate on..

I made the baseplate PSU grill to complex, the grills where to thin and kept burning away.. :nono:

And after that changed my mind and made a grill out off some nice stainless grill so I am going to use that.

This is the back plate that has the removable cover and 360 rad mounted to it..

Started tac'in the case together, im not aluminium welder(As you will see;)).. Stainless is my forte!

Bent the front main panel and tac'd that onto the sides and back..

Did some stitches about an itch long in a few places..

Fully welded it all up with very little distortion which I was surprised about, but with a lot of small stitches it worked out!!

    Folded the CD Drive bracket..

Made a quick joggle tool out of some scrap behind the guillie..

    Damn .02 out! :waah:

Wanted to have my logo 'smoked' onto the side perspex windows.
So had a little think..

Cut out my logo on the same size piece of mildsteel that I can just overlay onto the perspex..
Ofcourse I did a test piece on some old perspex!!

Stuck it in the shot/sand blaster and fired away!! Only took a good 3 second!! And...

    Success!! :thumb:

I have added another 580, so had to make a new slot for the mini HDMI to run through the case..

And also another HDMI panel port..

I made a stupid mistake and was pretty much :wallbash:
The mini HDMI to HDMI cable for my graphics cards have some bumb near the end..(Hard to explain heres a photo..)

There is a scratch in the part I am talking about.. So they wouldn't go through my slots I had designed!! :miffed:

Quick file got rid of it but didn't like having to do it!!

Also had to make a frame to house the perspex windows..

Here is a look at what look I am trying to achieve..

Taken on another idea and it involves these..

Now have to make a wall mount and floating desk and find room in the gaff for it to fit!!

    Sorry for the big update!

Case should be ready for the powder coaters soon! Nice low gloss black is what im going for..

Will update when I can guys..

    :)

Love it. All these cool projects have inspired me. Maybe I'll create something in the new year (although I no longer have a workshop - I'll have to blag my Dad's!)
