Yep, that's why I got one for widescreen gaming cheesecake.

Can't be done as, although it can be tilted and swiveled, due to it's size in cannot be put into portrait.

Mostly when people put monitors in those kind of setups they put them on a stand, where they could be tilted then I suppose.

Hmmm I can't see any reason why I'd want to with just the 2 monitors. As it's set up now it's just at the perfect height not to cause neck ache etc.

So far every game I've played has supported it out of the box, which has been great. I'm sure older titles would probably need some tweaking though.

Why only 1080 on the vertical though..that's terrible on a screen of that size. To me at least. Other than that though it's gorgeous and has been getting good reviews.

It's 1080 only to provide the aspect ratio, which in turn enables a very wide view in games, and less black boxes on films. Adding vertical pixels would turn it in to a standard 2560x1440 (16:9) monitor...or a U2713H by another name.

Tempted to get one of these at some point, one question though.

What happens when you connect a 1920 x 1080 signal, say from an xbox? does it display it with black lines around the image?

I have got an Xbox hooked up to it but I haven't actually switched it on to test. I would imagine it would show a 1080p picture, which would look fine due to 1:1 pixel mapping, but it would have black bars to each side. I will test it later and let you know.

When I am at Scan on Saturday I will see if they have one on display and see what it's like, but I really don't think it's worth the price so I won't be buying one.
