This Project shall be my gaming rig for while as Red Candy has been split down due to a few marks and chips on the paint work it will be re done in good time. It will be a short build log as the mods will be kept to minimum as the aim is to have nice clean and tidy compact rig that can be used for LAN's in the future. The Lamptron Vandal Switch Installed Hello again folks as I will not be using the original side panels I have had to use a Lamptron Vandal Switch for the On/Off Button So I took the center line from the BitFenix Logo and used a 19mm Wood Bit to make the hole Braided the Lamptron Switch with E22 Teleios Fusion Green and Black Installed the Front Rad Fans wired up to a PWM board that is tucked away and will be covered with some acrylic to in fill and keep everything clean. That's all for now folks
The Glowing Floor Panel Hello again Folks I not done as much as I had hope to today but got something I am happy with. I will be needing some more LED Strips if that is OK BitFenix? So I took some 5mm Frosted White Acrylic sheet and cut a new floor panel for the front: Used some off cuts of 3mm sold white Acrylic and Installed a BitFenix White Aqua Strip: This is the outcome: This little project looks like it will take a few more days due Got a few other bit of custom work to go into this before I can get the loop installed. Let me know what you think so far bye for now
The 780Ti & Fitting the Block Hello again folks Small update here just the 780Ti and EK Block fitting: After fitting into the case there is a small problem with the gap between the Card and top rad I am going to have to totally rethink the loop I will show you all in the next update thanks again for looking
The Loop is now planned after the small snag Hello again My original plan for the loop had to be scrapped due to the gap or lack of one between the top rad and the GFX card: So I had to have a re think on this and now I can get to bending some tube here are some Pics to show how things have progressed tonight: You can see the I/O cover I have made this will need to be painted with PlastiDip to avoid any chance of a short : Going to cover around the front fan and rad to keep it all clean and tidy and force the air more into the Rad: That's all for now folks
Front Light Panel Hello again folks make again with another small update of the modding work after liking the glowing floor so much I carried it on for the inside front panel : I have more light strips on the way and need to fix them in place before I can do the plumbing so this has just slowed me down a little bit I will also have to paint the inside of the plastic on the front as its bleeding light nothing major just all part of the fun. Bye for now
Thank you I Had a few bits of 5mm Frosted white acrylic and had not seen it done with this case before and I do like the effect it gives my plan for my Silver Ghost Project is to make real light panels. Thanks for looking
The Loop Is Bent Hello again Folks I have been a bit busy with family matters over the past few days but got the loop cut bent and installed: The Essential Part: The Nickel and Caps stand out like a sore thumb that will need something done about it: Perfect Fit Old fashioned cable management so used to using E22 Cable Combs but had none to hand only ones for 4mm Cables: Back later with more pics of the filled loop bye for now
A Few Shots of the filled loop Hello again folks back again a few pic of the loop got some work to do on the lighting and trim inside the case but we are nearly done Off to play with the new led strips that BitFenix and OCuk sent out today big thanks again
Sorry I have had no updates for a few days We are nearly finished now just waiting on the paint to dry on the side panels and I will take some final pics of everything lit up and move one to the next projects as my Silver Ghost is going to be delayed a while as the Motherboard is still not here so here are a few more pics Changed the braid on the Power Switch to Teleios Green rather than the fusion and used some white heat shrink from OCuk Installed the SSD and a 2.5" WD Black 750GB in a Custom Acrylic mount that was made from off cuts of frosted white : Installed the Rear I/O Cover this is a piece of 35mm Angle Aluminium from B&Q that I Plasti dipped on the under side to prevent the possibility of a short As always E22 UltraClear Has Been used Big thanks to Nate for my trade discount I can't expect it sponsored as I use so much of it then the books would not balance so one more pic before I do a final photo shoot later
The End Here are some Final Pics Thanks again to BitFenix great little case to work with not really designed for a custom loop but very easy to make it happen with a bit of work thanks for looking see you all soon
thank you the nvidia badge came from a a Coolermaster 690 Nvidia edition from a few years back been in a box of such bit's that may come in handy one day thanks for looking
It's an absolutely lovely, super-clean build... -but I was totally misled by the title into expecting a candy paint job. I want my money back.
I led you in under false pretenses sneaky, the name came from the follow on from my Red Candy one as I tried to keep the same clean look but use the green rather than the red and due to the delay with my other builds it gave me something to do with idol hands and the hardware . This weekend I can have my long overdue cups of Tea with Nate and let him carry on his E22 magic for me and then in ten days I will have my mechano kit to make Silver Ghost a reality thanks for taking time to peruse this little box of lies
Thanks man having your approval is appreciated very much I promise That the next one will be very much what it says it is on the tin
