What a shame, I was really hoping for some healthy competition in the CPU market. Intel has pretty much had the upper hand ever since Core 2's in 2006.

wow, what a dissapointment. All the leaked benchmarks put the writing on the wall; I guess I was really hopeing for AMD to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Not all that surprised to be perfectly honest. Still disappointing there still isn't competition for Intel in the top end.

Huge dissapointment. I have supported AMD since my old athlon2400 but maybe its time for a change but my 4Ghz Phenom ii x4 may see me out this generation and if not theres still hope for AMD's next processor socket improving on this like phenom 1 am2+ to phenom ii am3.

Well, I was hoping in the spirit of supporting the underdog that AMD would be able to pull it out of the fire again like they did with the K6 and original FX chips. I'm disappointed, but I'm glad I waited for reviews before making my final choice.

Ivy Bridge here I come I guess.

You have to say that 8 times. One for each core.

tbh, the divebomb isn't a great surprise. Tis a shame tho, I was hoping for Bulldozer to be half decent so Intel might drop their LGA1155 prices a little.

    Thought:

Two words that fit this CPU perfectly...

    "Bull" and "Dozer"

Well that was pretty disappointing. Nice write up guys, makes for an interesting read, it's just a shame about the price/performance of it. Makes me happy I splashed out for my i5-2500k rig back in Jan though.

The Shogun benchmark was a particular highlight for me, it actually made me laugh out loud.

Oh noes, disappointing to say the least. I really wish they could at least give Intel a run for their money on some level so as to benefit us as consumers.
