    As the title says..
Mine is 500W I got 5/6 years ago, before all those 85+ ratings, wondering what is the standard power rating people go for now.

    Mines a 1050W rated at 85+ Silver.

Although under a lot of circumstances it's closer to 87+, as it's not all circumstances it can't be rated such. With such a thirsty rig, efficiency was high on my list :)

Depends on the rig and what you want to run. 500w is plenty for most rigs , I'm running 750w even though mine would happily run with 500w.I just like having the extra power there in case I do need it, plus theres less chance of over loading anything

1500W here  . Apparently it's rated to be 87% efficient.

480W from before 80Plus existed. I'll be upgrading to a corsair HX850W soon, not that i need it.

I guess thats why PSU manufacturers will always be in business, the only sexy thing about new PSUs are the increasing power ratings, but that'll do (despite everything else inside the PC being more and more efficient).

    Corsair TX 750W.

Not sure how efficient it is.. I'd assume 80Plus bronze.

Should've got the HX though :sigh:

Well, to be entirely fair, this new PSU will be 80+ certified, and come with another 7 years of warranty - my old one's 3 years warranty expired looong ago and i feel that i'm pushing my luck. It's not as quiet as it used to be either!

Antec NeoHE 430W. Nice and stable, dirt cheap, modular cables. Peak efficiency somewhere around 150-250W DC output, reaching just shy of 80%.

It's super quiet too, though has been getting louder recently. It's probably full of dust, which will teach me to buy a case without any filters.

Something I've been wondering - does the efficiency of a PSU change with the input voltage? As in would the efficiency of the same PSU be different, used in the US vs the UK?

Enermax Revolution 85+ 850W. Had two previous troublesome ones but this one seems to be stable.
