Hi all, I have a problem in that my monitor loses its signal (goes black) or freezes after any boot screen including those from the following sources: Windows 7 HDD installation normal configuration Windows 7 Last known good configuration Safe Mode Safe Mode with Networking Booting from a recovery CD (freezes after the files have been loaded from the disc during the display of the Windows logo) Mini-XP Linux based distro from Hiren's boot CD I've tried using both digital and analogue connections to the monitor from the PC in case one switches to the other after the loading screen - (I've had this issue with another PC). During POST there are no beeps. I've tried detaching the hard disk drive from the motherboard (power and data cable) altogether. I've done the same with the DVD drive to eliminate the thought that the motherboard could not deal with more than 1 SATA interface at a time. All fans have been tested and are operating as usual including the HSF. Running MemTest returns no errors and so I'm led to investigate further (maybe a graphics card problem) - especially since I have no spare hardware to use. Strangely enough, the cause of the problem seems to be after updating an iPad :-S If anyone has any ideas or suggestions they would be much appreciated Thank you all in advance! Best regards... at first glance I'd say it was your driver.. but why it's effecting min xp or linux is strange... have you tried creating a linux boot usb (http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd-on-usb-disk)? this way you can remove all your disks...
Vayshan Clear a few thing hear you can access the BIOS etc But once loading any OS blank including the ones you have tried. Silly questions but will ask anyway. Have you reseated the card tried /different ports check connections cards FAN etc Also does the motherboard have onboard Graphics check that this is diabled or is using your sapphire. If all above is still not working maybe worth clearing the CMOS
Have you tried, removing the ram, and stitching the ram inbetween the different slots on your motherboard, I know I had this issue not so long ago.
