I have a 420mm radiator and 3 x 140mm fans, but the fans only have 120mm mounting holes. I'm trying to use the same fans throughout my build, so I would like to find a way of attaching the fans to the radiator, for example if I bought a fan grill with 140mm holes, could I drill additional 120mm holes. Is there an easier way, without having to drill? Thanks.
If you don't want to go with the ghetto look, you can get 140mm to 120mm adapters. Try somewhere like aquatuning.co.uk
This is what I was thinking of... http://www.scan.co.uk/products/bitspower-bp-fa140120-bk-140mm-120mm-fan-adapter-black It looks like it'll do the job, but I've never used one.
Except you can't fit 3 in a line on a radiator as the top bit (the bit the 140mm fan attaches to) overlaps the next fan "space"
I don't follow. The rad is designed for three 140mm fans, but his 140mm fans have the same hole spacings as 120mm fans. Why wouldn't they fit?
Ignore me I'm being a muppet. I was looking at it as fitting 140mm on a 120mm spacing not the other way around
