I have an ASUS GTX580 DirectCU II and love it... except for one thing. The lowest fan speed is 1050-1100rpm. While this is not loud it is louder than anything else in my system. As the temperature is only 30c there is no reason the fans could not run at lower RPM.. except that's as slow as it will go.

Is there any way to lower the fan speed?

    Thanks

You can modify the fan speed in MSI Afterburner. I'm surprised you can hear it though, I have this card and it's the most quiet thing in the system.

edit: Mine idles at 15% of total fan speed and never goes above that under load either. It's a great cooler.

I've set my minimum at 10% and it still idles around 1100rpm.

Like I said it's not loud, but as all other fans idle at 700-800rpm the VGA fans are the only noise I hear.. and HDD activity. Those are the only sounds in the room. ;)

If it's the quietest in system how do you know how quiet it is? :D
