Windows Disk CLoning moving to new SSD

what is the best free disk cloner for Windows drives? (copying OS files)

Got a new Samsung 830 256GB to replace my (old) Vertyex 3 Max IOPS 120GB.
I really do not want to reinstall windows again especially as my win7 is an upgrade.

 

The free version of the Acronis disk imaging product from seagate is a good quality product. It handled a tricky failure for me very intelligently and generally strikes me as good quality software - rare these days!

yeah no seagate drives so not able to use that one. refuses to install.

 

I'm looking to do this soon, so had did a quick bit of research. I seems to me that if you're going to a larger drive http://clonezilla.org/ is the way to go (or rather "a way to go").

 

I use HDClone even used it to clone ps3 hd to a larger one

 

It's if you're cloning to a smaller drive you have a problem with most of the cloning software that's why I use Acronis not free but the best
