my first real project/project log yesterday i decided i need a case... i found 2 vcr type boxes i will be stripping and using 1 of them to place a small system in. specs: flex atx pc chips intergrated everything with c3 1.2 cpu 512mb ddr 4gb hdd os/anything for now, proberly a 20gb soon 300watt generic psu if running windows a digi tv card will be added. first pic of the day. the 2 vcr boxes which will be used... update soon...
First update... everything emptyed and ideas for part locations this is where i plan everything to go, the dvd rom will hover above the motherboard. the case empty with plastic fixtures removed so everything can lay straight along the bottom of the case.
Nice start, but it does look like it's gonna be tight! Will you be making a custom back panel for the PCi slots to be used (DVB TV, SOUND etc)?
it's a flex atx m789 (pc chips ) motherboard. generic dvd drive, kingston ram and some random stuff, i gave my dad the good stuff genric psu and a very old hdd it looks more crowded than it it since i've cut the big chunks of plastic off it's a much more snug fit... although this is completly unplanned im just working it out as i go along and as for the pci slots, it already got onboard gfx, sound, lan e.c.t, but if i need to add the tv card i think im going to mod it in, luckly the pbc is quite low heres a better shot of the layout
