    Can we assume the power usage will be even lower than the desktop equivalent, thus giving even better overclocking potential?

    well, power usage will be the same as Yonah (i.e. pretty damn low)

    Not a bad move from intel I just don't get why is there another chip being brought out in such a short period after Yonah was sent to the market...well they must have their reasons.

    Do you know if merom is 64-bit? Or if the upcoming chipsets for it support more than the 2GB's of ram that is max for Yonah Chipsets?

    Merom is a drop-in replacement for Yonah. AFAIK it does support 64-bit extensions.
