Graphics Have about 180-250 not sure what to get.

Quick question, just returned a GTX 760 got it refunded so have about 180-250 to spend. Not sure to get much the same card or if this new GTX 960 is worth it?

Quick looking about and it looks like the 760 out performs the 960 still?

 

Second hand 970? Significantly faster than the 960 and 760. Might even be able to get a new one for £240...

 

You can get a 290x at that price if you want to go to the other teams

 

Not an AMD fan im afraid, it is looking that way that the only real step up from a 760 is to the 970. There is a palit one on amazon at 245 atm which i could squeeze.

 

Not playing to go 4k are you? don't want to go over the 3.5gb ram usage

I think ill stick with another 760. Im waiting to hear from the other half if i can pay the extra for a 970 hehe.

 

760 is a pretty naff value for money card tbh

a 970 or a amd 290 are the best pick

 

Or indeed a second hand 780

I see some of the auction finishing prices on eBay are pretty close to the bottom end of your budget now!

The 290/290x are great cards if you get one with a decent cooler !
