This is my first build with all new parts and some modifications to the case, so i wanted to get some feedback from y'all specs: NZXT Source 210 Elite Gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition G Skill Sniper DDR3 1600 (16GB) Evga GTX 550 2GB (x2) Samsung 1TB 7200 RPM Samsung 64GB SSD Kingwin Lazer LZ-1000 Cooling: XSPC X2O 750 Dual 5.25 Bay Reservoir Pump XSPC RS240 Dual 120mm Low Profile Radiator XSPC RayStorm CPU Block PrimoChill PrimoFlex PRO LRT Tubing 3/8" x 5/8" Monsoon Free Center Compression Fittings PrimoChill ICE Non-Conductive Fluid - Purple Thermalright X-Silent 120mm (x4) Peripherals: Tt eSPORTS Black Mouse Tt eSPORTS Challenger Ultimate Tt eSPORTS Dasher Mouse Pad SteelSeries Siberia v2 Headset Acer h213h 21.5", borrowed. My Samsung monitor broke :'( I modded the top of case with a modular Lian Li panel to fit the radiator. I used some CPU mounting screws and some 1/4" spacers to mount the panel to the top of the case. I put a mnpctech pro-line switch plate on the front with 2 vandal resistant Bulgin swithces. I also used mnpctech billet aluminum case feet. Well, onto the pictures! (Dont worry, I used some rubber U-trim) I used some sound-proof foam for the inside front because there was 2 fan ports i wasnt going to be using. BEFORE: AFTER: Let me know what you think!! Thank you for reading
how is that xspc pump sounds and performs? i've read very different feedback on it (as a part of their x2o kits) well designed case modification and nice colors - those milk-white compressions are great! time to replace that pale-pink tubing to some white or black tubing almost forgot - no LC for that SLI setup - it's a shame!!!
The pump is great! This is my first liquid build so I cant compare it to other pumps, but it is very quiet, runs well, and fits snug in the bays so there is no vibrations. For the tubing, it was crystal clear so i thought purple liquid would be deep and vivid, but it ended up being pale and dull, as you can see and i wanted to include the graphics cards in the loop, but as a full time student with a part time job I ran out of money half way in. lol hopefully on my next build!
Very nice for a first build. Good quality photos that show enough detail, but turn off the time stamp
Awesome, I love the way you have mounted that radiator. What sort of overclock are you getting out of your CPU?
Nice! I take it the pics were taken soon after completion? There seems to be a lot of bubbles in the res is all. I'm jumping on the XSPC bandwagon my self soon, just a shame the res with built in pump is not compatible with the mayhems aurora dyes!
@Webby, thanks! I've only OC'd it to 3.8 @Phillthy yes they were, and its not compatible? Why is that?
@Phillthy yes they were, and its not compatible? Why is that?[/QUOTE] Because that particular pump/res combo can cause too many cavities for the aurora to stagnate. To run Aurora efficiently you need clean and smooth loops. Plus the pump does not provide enough Head to keep the particulants in the Aurora well mixed and cause it to settle in stagnant areas causing the aurora to lose it's "sparkle" and possibly clog things up. It's a great fluid, but what you run it in has to be built just right.
