    They are connected to PC via USB. Can play any MIDI-track with some changes (only 4-channels - rhythm, bass,solo and drums).
    Also they are can work without PC. Inside - accumulators and control scheme (simple MIDI sequencer) with 4MB of memory.

    This is ordinary stepper motors from CD/DVD-drives.

    Cool. I was wondering what they were, the shaft looks like its part of a linear drive but it was so small I couldn't think what they could be used for.

    Are the notes determined purely by the speed of the motor or was there more factors?
