So the 2013 Ford mustang BOSS 302 in the new "got to have it green" paint inspired me to to do my first case mod. So I had to start searching for a case that was simple and had nice flowing lines. After several days of searching, I came across a picture of a white 600T with the mnpctech clear side. I knew that was the case. So I ordered my case and gave my painter buddy a call. Here is what I had. Case: cooler master elite 310 Power supply:apevia 500 watt Mobo: Biostar A880G+ CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1055t 2.8GHz GPU: Radeon HD6870 Ram: G-skill 4gb DDR3 HDD: western degital caviar 250GB water cooling: koolance CPU-350 water block, 120 rad, dual bay res with internal pump. OS: vista ultimate 64bit current setup Case: Corsair 600T with custom paint(got to have it green from the new mustang) and mnpctech side window. Power supply: Corsair 750 modular Mobo: existing CPU: existing GPU: put my hd 6870 on water, EK block Ram: existing HDD: use existing 250GB for the OS and a 640GB western degital caviar black for everything else Water cooling: XSPC ray storm 240 kit. OS: upgrade to windows 7 after I make sure everything is up and running. Old rig. Color scheme of the case. It's not much of a mod as I just upgraded the watercooling system and the case. Hell, we all have to start somewhere. Sorry for the bad picture quality. I only have my iPhone to take pictures with. Ek block. Put some green food coloring in some water to see how it looks. It will end up having mayhems pastel green fluid.
Tested the LEDs last night. Deffinately going to change the blue out for white and add a lot more. Also installed a second gen blackice GT rad instead of the one in the xspx kit. It was a little thinner and allowed room for a planned mod Also ran into a problem while changing from the koolance CPU block the xspx. My original backing plate was long gone so the attachment hardware that came with the xspx kit wasn't long enough. So I ended up reusing the koolance studs and nuts. Worked great, just wasn't all black like I would have liked. Also got the EK water block and backing plate installed on the HD6870. Then ran into a problem. The 7/16 x 5/8 compression fittings that came with the xspx kit wouldn't fit properly. Probably have to swap to 45 degree fittings.
Lookin Good scott, and excellent choice of theme too, I had `66 Mustang with 289 and 4 on the floor, it's on my facebook, under cars album, I know were friends there
Thanks Lol, I'm Mike C. Thanks. I wondered if it would be too "pastel" looking but it came out perfect. Not too much bling.
