Still a solid card at the price point, and if you need a bang per buck card for 1080p gaming it'd be silly to overlook it. A quick overclock and you're up there in the mix with the top end cards from last generation.

I'm still glad I picked up a 2 week old 7950 for £170 earlier in the year though.

AMD need to cut their prices a bit to remain competitive now though, a tall order if they're half a year away from releasing anything new.

Runs at faster clocks, but fewer stream processors, so not really. it's substantially cheaper too (although where everyone finds these 670s for £205 I'm not sure, i check e-tailers every day about a week before a launch now).

The 660Ti would have been much better received if it had launched at this price.

    Second hand, maybe?

Nowhere sells 670s sealed BNIB with full manufacturer warranty for less than £240 - and even that price is well below the average so using it as your reference price in the review is being slightly generous to it.

I 100% agree, but that's the market then, this is the market now. You could argue the same for the GTX 660 (@ £150).

That's what I thought; the KFA 670s at £240 are the cheapest at the moment.

And a great buy at the price, but most seems to be hovering around £260-280 at the moment.

    +1 I just got a 670 f.t.w for £220 and thankfully I'm in the clear. The only reason I justified it is because it's basically a 680.

I'm actually surprised that the 760 does so well seeing that it's not quite as good on paper as a 670 (fewer stream processors, tessellation units etc.), however the significance of the results becomes apparent when you look at the clock speeds.

Show us 760 vs 670 with identical clocks, and the price difference is evident. :)

AFAIK the cheapest off-the-shelf 670 f.t.w is currently £269.99. That's pretty good if you ask me.

I'm impressed. I was expecting the 760 to be a re-badged 670, and costing £250-260. Instead, they turn round and release a stormer of a card at a fantastic price. It makes perfect sense if the 670 is going to hang round, although it does make me wonder if a 760Ti is in the works for the 670s ultimate replacement?

It's a surprisingly good price. AMD's sure to cut the 7950 to £200 now.

That's launch day though - prices are often inflated a bit by sellers for the first few days.

At £220 I'd get a 7950 instead at £230 with lots of free games.

    :D me too !

I bought one just after launch for £304 and the other back in January for £260. Bloody lovely cards they are ! Was so nice to buy one for £304 then see it hold its value until about two weeks back. That was over a year.
