Trying to remove a fairly hefty dye stain from my acrylic nickle full cover block from EK for a 5870, it's a lovely shade of redish pink. Any idea's? thinking something like vinegar although will that not cause clouding or cracking?
Soft bristled toothbrush and soap. I use a mild bleach to remove dye from acrylic but shouldn't be needed on nickel. At a push something like Brasso or Autosol will do it but can remove thin layers of plating. It's possible that what you're seeing is dyed copper where the nickel has come off. Not Vinegar. Also posted in your other thread.
Use some sodium hydrosulfite. It's a dye remover and should be safe for acrylic blocks and reservoirs.
