I thinking of WC my pc but I want a new case to save space and to make it easier to move it around. I need to cool my CPU and GPU (sig) below so I don't know what size radiator i need. my budget is max of £130 that's just the case without anything else. I will overclock both so need to be powerful enough. thanks for your help
Is the budget for watercooling and case or just for the case? 60mm thick triple 120mm should be a large enough rad.
Do you have any size limitations or aesthetic preferences(such as no plastic etc) Just trying to narrow down the options
No not really any size, style and colour. At the end of the day I can alway spary the case diffenet colour. and Its not like I'm making it a show case. I just want to put a radiator in it and from what I have been told a 360 by 60. but something that will do the job for cheap as
Probably Fractal Design Arc is your best bet, if you don't mind the open front and the ugly side panel fan mount .
I really like this case and it seems to do what I want. [url"http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cases/2011/05/31/fractal-design-arc-review/4] linky [/url] the review from bit tech But it only has a two 120mm radiator in top will that cool my CPU and GPU?
Well, you can put a 240mm radiator on top, no need for two separate 120mm radiators. And for 2600K and GTX560 it should be enough. Maybe you won't have super cool temperatuers, only good ones, but GTX560 is not a power hungry card and 2600K even with an overclock will not eat that much power.
If you want all internal watercooling I would suggest either the Coolermaster Haf X http://www.scan.co.uk/products/cool...ng-case-inc-side-window-usb-30-w-o-psu-new-ve Yes I know its not the prettiest case in the world, but it will take a 60mm thick rad with fans in the top and bottom, as shown in TTL's video, of the nvidia version of the case. Also there's the Xigmatek Elysium, Bloody awesome case for the money, can take a 3 x 120 or a 3 x 140mm 60mm thick rad in the roof, plus a 480 rad in the front if you don't need to use the drive bays http://www.scan.co.uk/products/xigm...-mounted-usb-30esataaudio-hdd-docking-w-o-psu Another TTL review on the Elysium edit: also if you want to see a watercooled build inside the Elysium, check out bloodypete's watercooling log/how to http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=201254
+1 for the Xigmatek as it's what I had before going to the Coolermaster Cosmos 2. You can easily fit a 360x60mm rad in the roof with the fans and also you can fit a 240x60mm rad in the bottom, you could potentially fit a 360x60mm rad in the bottom aswell if you get abit creative, and also you can fit it in the front of the case if you make some mounts for it. Not sure if this is allowed or not, so I will remove if required but this is a link to a thread I did on my clan's forum when I built 3 pc's last week including the Xigmatek Elysium. http://www.nthwgaming.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,447.msg10212.html The rad used in that pc was a 35mm rad so you can clearly see the sheer size of it.
The Elysium is a brilliant case and I'll add a recommendation for it here You can easily fit a 420mm in the roof, and plenty of space in general. Great value also.
Very true took mine to a lan and it was a nightmare to lift in and out of the house, up and down the stair's etc.
you aint selling the Xigmatek? lol I have seen the video where he put a 60mm rad with push and pull fans on it. Yeah its HUGE and if I get this I think it will be for life Yeah I would guess that lol but I wont be move it much anyways. and if I do I will get the wife to do it lol I'm on the third floor
