Are not the partner forums supposed to be Customer Support Forums? Should that not mean that they are not to be used as free advertising platforms?

I.C. Diamond and MSI seem to be the stand-out offenders.

I believe that they are not free. I believe that they pay to have them.

Either way if they are willing to offer customer services through that channel I am willing to see what community advertising they are offering.

Generally speaking a lot of the partner forum members often take a part of the forum as well, and many are either old members or old staffers who already have a reputation.

Why are you so against receiving advertising? Are you aware that there are server costs associated with running these forums and the staff writers?

The partner forums are pretty much whatever their owners would like them to be. If they want to do support, brilliant, if they want to shout about their latest products, that's fine too.

Tbh it can be quite informative sometimes although somewhat boastfull I have no problem with them as they are, if you don't like it simply don't read it
