What do you like, and or love about Chevy's new wondercar? No hating, or irrelevent camaro references PLEASE. Feel free to bomb le server with every single high res picture you can manage to dig up. You can make as many and as large posts as you dang well please. Same rule goes: rep shall be shared like Ale in the king's court. Made this more for the +'s of the new 'vette. NOT the -'s. Think I'll make an extra thread to (hopefully) avert the tide of Spoiler bald, greying(jk, fellas, jk) haters I can see coming
Looks more like GM up and finally designed something for those of us with *flexible* minds(thank god). This thing just nails the old stingray outta the park(and that was a beauty for starters). The specs may not be concrete but hot dang. And I think I'll post a few IRL shots of this winner-on-wheels tomorrow.
I think it looks great, for a modern car. You'll never make the new look better than the old - the original is so loved that it can never be beaten like that.
I'll take a black one, please, so the front hole is less obvious and the back matches the rest of the car.
I think I'd just get that vent painted in whichever body colour I decided. Red or bright blue probably. Muscle cars shouldn't be dull colours, they should be as loud and shouty as possible.
I've always loved Vettes, and this looks like a mean arse one. I like it I like it! Don't get me wrong, it's not a Stingray, but it never would be, nice to see the name on a new car though.
Eh? That's a 'vette thing for 17 years now, long before the european trend of excessive exhausts. They're about $60k in the US, expect them to be $=£ over here once imports begin.
I like it, personally. It's loud and overstated, exactly what a modern Corvette should be, so long as it retains a big, shouty engine, loud exhausts and is still reasonably quick to go along with all the noise; I'll continue liking it. Not to say I'm not a fan of understated, I just believe that some cars are made for certain things. The 'Vette is made to be a powerhouse of a car. Doesn't stop me wishing they'd actually produce a shooting brake version, however, just because I'd love to have a poster of a modern, good looking shooting brake on the wall. Because Cheesecake.
You mean like this? http://www.autoblog.com/2013/03/18/corvette-stingray-shooting-brake-under-consideration-by-callaway/ (IMO they could do a better job of it though - this looks too much like just bolting on an extra bit to the roof, rather than a fully considered design)
American muscle cars now have a thing for chopping it off at the back. Just stop it. It looks crap. How about some curves rather than blade lines?
Wait until you see it in person. My wife's CTF Z52 will start production soon, and I'll get you some real hands on feed back. I can tell you it looks fantastic in person and the new car is a tech marvel. It is a true super car. Edit: The Corvette is not now, and never has been, a muscle car or pony car.
