i have an old compaq presario 1230 that i took apart about an hour ago. everything was working on that computer i just wanted to take it apart because it was old. so i took it all apart and saved the lcd and i am wondering if i can reuse it for some other project. it seems like a waste of good lcd. how would i go about using this in another project?
Are you talking about a laptop? If so, there's no practical way to utilize the LCD. They need a controller board and it'll be cheaper to buy a whole new laptop than a controller. This has been discussed earlier aswell.
