The Chinese Year of the Horse is imminent (Chinese New Year 2014 is on Friday January 31) and, as usual, London's Chinese community will be celebrating in style. The capital's festivities will begin on Sunday February 2 at 10am with a parade through Trafalgar Square, followed by performances featuring music, Chinese dragons, lion dances, acrobatics and firecrackers. Anyone planning on attending the festivities? I'd thought the event was going to be held on Friday 31st, which meant I'd have been unable to attend, but this is good news
I've always wanted to go but never been. Unfortunately this year sunday is my only day off and so we're going out for lunch for my sisters birthday.
