Hi, long time there by myself again a Scratch build.

The D igital A nalog S erver was once a chime of a railroad crossing.
In the upper part of the Digital comes Server, this can be lowered with a winch to get to the hardware.

Since I have shortened the thermowell and cut off the sensor.



The rest of the dipping sleeve was screwed to the union which is on top of the last picture on the housing.

Today I finally welded the frame for the hardware.

Attached I have the gear with a M3 screw which engages in a hole of the shaft.



Since the cranks is quite tiring, I have made in the handwheel a handle.

Next we took the grinding of gear



Next, I have then considered as the best way to make the case.
The biggest problem was the hinge. When I am but tripped over a 8mm round bar I had the solution.
A 2-part hinge with an M4 screw.

As only times a 3.3mm hole drilled for the thread, then again reamed to half the bar with a 4mm drill.



After threading I immediately turned times a screw inside.
I thought so ... OMG is small, and then I should be able to weld ...



Here times compared to an M4 Taps.

Today we continued with the radiators.



First I had a piece of sheet metal and shear a sample taken whether the well as work as I imagine it.

First I drilled with a 35mm Forstner bit the holes for the rounding.



Since there was another sheet in between I need to push the parts only pure.



Then I could even drill the first sheet.



The holes for bolting the sheets I have done the same with.





Everything fits.





For edges I today kabe me an Kantbank welded together.



Since then, the panels were clamped and still pressed with a clamp down.



To always get exactly the same angle I have prepared me a chump.

















Unfortunately, the diameter by about 1cm is difficult too big. For that I must find a solution tomorrow.



So, that's again.

 

Then it goes on with the times alone entertainment

Today I have made but only once the holes in the plates for slots.
For that I had to build me a jig.

Rear I have a Festool clamp plugged into the T-slot, and front a bolt. The rest I've held in the hand.
Unfortunately, I had to re-align the router at each hole as the holes are not 100 were exactly.







After milling it came to filing.



Until now I had small Allen screws in it, but I do not like, so I have the likely to use 3mm carriage bolts.
Without shims but that is nothing.

Ain't gonna lie the first few pics I was thinking "wow that's a lot of alu there, scrap value.." but it's definitely worth saving

Today I have occupied myself with the radiator has already done more work to date as of many a round Case

Yesterday we went to the reservoirs on.
