    "DAS" by Paladin

Hi, long time there by myself again a Scratch build.

The D igital A nalog S erver was once a chime of a railroad crossing.
In the upper part of the Digital comes Server, this can be lowered with a winch to get to the hardware.
On top of the flange is a great Conditions of connected to the flange, and is held with a tap wrench.
In the lower area near the door, the analog data come in the form of 3 x 4 file folders purely that I will eventually make out of wood.

Now you get only a few pictures that you it gets an impressive. [IMG]

It started after the purely hauling in the workshop first with the cleaning.
There is on top any sealant been.

The case itself, I just sanded with fine sanding sponge, so went off the rough dirt. Then I cleaned it with a cleaner.

Here you can see already times as I imagine that with the Conditions.

He is Double wall eventually. Outside water and inside a self-made radiator from a copper pipe I turn simple as a spiral.
The server is not warm, so it can be eventeull even run without a fan.
A fan is but as a backup solution with pure.

Here are some materials that I might use.

It started then with the template for the shelves.

4 Folders fit per fold pure when you put them in a slight arc.

The material I have several ideas. Either Multiplex, beech plywood or shuttering panels (made to look like multiplex, only the surface is brown / black)

The GTC is supposed to get a flange, since I am busy thinking whether I use this matte Plexi and it again an aluminum plate. Then I could have the edge lights.

That here the tension would I have mentioned above.

Then we come to the place for the hardware.
    This comes in here above.

I want to lower it to a winch that to get from the door down.

After that I have already made me a plate for the hardware.

But I have to work multistory because not everything fits on a plate.

Now I must only think of what can I hardware absenke and then turn the platform I also come from all sides ran. Is not easy, is supposed to not just swing.

Next I have then considered how I up there still window purely doing.
My first thought simply Warein round holes, but these do not say to me.

Therefore I will make 2 holes, connect them, lay behind Plexiglas and make a frame to the presses the Plexiglas.

So, then a few more questions for you.

    • Fits the Conditions of diameter so?
    • If the tensioner ok?
    • Do you have ideas for lowering the hardware?
    • Do you have any other ideas for the project?

After not quite knows how I do that with the lifting platform for the motherboard implementing I've only times sought another job.

Up come between tabs openings purely the one of the hardware also sees what.
The first three I did today.
I started this with 2 large holes.

With the jigsaw I then between partially cut out.

In the upper section I had on one side of the jigsaw 1cm Propping since above the edge of the housing.

After cutting and filing I have sanded all.

Then I thought about whether I use copper tubes or aluminum tubes yet.
But I think copper fits better.

Today we went with the two other holes continued.
So again drilling, cutting and filing.

Then I ransacked my camp and some unearthed material.
Here I have found a few tubes relay and an old button.
What do you think of the idea of the holes to use up there for?

This here I also found everything. Ampermeter I will incorporate in any case, but unfortunately the range in mV. Can the use of recovery stalls, which they show at least what?

And all sorts of odds and ends.
Weis yet who among what are left over? [IMG]

Here I yesterday brought plates from which I expected to make the shelves.

    So, that's again.

Today we went with the bad weather also again a little further, because I can do nothing in the garden [IMG]

Yesterday I got a heating engineer these great upper valve parts that had to be naturally built right.

These later have no function (are rusted) here and only for Deko.

I also have in another plumper this themp sensor from the scrap.
Since I have shortened the thermowell and cut off the sensor.

The rest of the dipping sleeve was screwed to the union which is on top of the last picture on the housing.

On the cone can then attach the themp sensor with 2 screws.

Of course, the fake power plug may not be missing, for I have already installed an implementation.

Next, we went to the ads.
First it was planned all incorporate three, but irgendie not like the digital display between the analogues.

Since the housing is round, and the ads just I had to think of something.
I have a hole cut just as high as the ads are, but something small and then cut at the corners on.
These tabs I then bent slightly inward.

Now the ads are almost full.

So, that's it again. Tomorrow we're if the weather is on again in the garden

Today I finally welded the frame for the hardware.
I'll now just the pictures speak.

The lower strut and the iron which are welded to the drawer slides.

Here are the top brace for 2nd level still quite fresh [IMG]

    And after the bath [IMG]

As the second strut was welded I turn welded rails with the drawer.

    Here is sample seats.

At the tips of the struts still short straps came off.
Later there come 3 plastic slider strikes the soils for the hardware does not wobble.

Back came another round bent iron off. I've struck with the hammer.
Because when you hit on the inside of it, it is about self. Has about 20 minutes lasted.

So, here the 2nd test sitting.

The whole part depends later times on the saddle bracket and can then be discharged via a winch.

As I was looking at the in-laws on the material I stumbled across this knife switch and could not resist [IMG]

Now only the question ... open or closed off to build?
When closed, I would use it as the main switch, open to low voltage (12v) than LEDs or so.

So, that's it for today again.
Tomorrow I will install the hardware platform.

Since I myself am also excited. [IMG]

Weight I can not at all say, because I do not know what else comes off [IMG]

It continued with the installation of the hardware support.

After I bolted the drawer rails went there with these slots continue.
I wonder if you come on it for what these are.

Here the screw the drawer rails and the long hole, I made per rail.

So, next I added the rotating floors.
As slider I have used plastic thumbscrews .

The lower floor was this to get in there a circus.
For that I had to unhook the rack, make a slight angle, and then thread the ground.

    PSU fits perfectly in between.

The 2nd floor went in easily.

Then also the same times the dummy hardware put on

Fits also including graphics card still without problems, even if no will be installed later.

When it was released I did with the elevator.
But I have only once have to rebuild the pulleys

Inside are installed 2 pulleys, one of which had to be moved slightly from top to bottom. But I've made this block.

Then I could install both roles.

Diagonally on the other side then came a third roller is used.
For I have bent and bolted an angle from a 5mm iron.

At first I wanted to use a crank, but the idea yesterday I still come to use a geared motor, this was too weak.
So I'm back to the crank and glad too.

At home, I then prepared my parts and then I went back to the in-laws for welding.

The handwheel got a M16 threaded rod as a shaft, in turn, got a hole for the cable.
On one side of 2.5 mm, on the other side 4mm the pressed-on sleeve it has space.

    Then, the first test run.
Since I have no brake had to serve a wrench.

Today it went with the brake on.
Last I have fished this 10mm aluminum plates from a Schrottkontainer.
Then I have drilled and cut a gear.

The aluminum tube over the shaft, I then processed that I've got the gear to do so.

Tomorrow I'm building it still a case that can be folded up

Attached I have the gear with a M3 screw which engages in a hole of the shaft.

Since the cranks is quite tiring, I have made in the handwheel a handle.

    So, that's again.

    Thank you

Next we took the grinding of gear

Next, I have then considered as the best way to make the case.
The biggest problem was the hinge. When I am but tripped over a 8mm round bar I had the solution.
    A 2-part hinge with an M4 screw.

As only times a 3.3mm hole drilled for the thread, then again reamed to half the bar with a 4mm drill.

After threading I immediately turned times a screw inside.
I thought so ... OMG is small, and then I should be able to weld ... [IMG]

Here times compared to an M4 Taps.

Next we went to the restilchen parts. To all home Preparation I have all stapled together with magnets.

Then I drove the 5km to my in-laws where my welder stands.
    Here in the unpolished state.
Honed I then with a Kress motor and grindstone.

    Here then finish ground.

Next I have then the mother against the handwheel is brought about by a bore provided.

In this then comes an M3 screw the nut to secure.

For this purpose, the threaded rod must be drilled.

Here with nut and locking screw.

The threaded rod, I then cut off flush.

The handwheel was until now only on the square I dan the threaded rod had honed plugged. The handwheel I then also secured with a screw.

As the screw was in it was finally able to go off of Pain job.
I've occasionally gets all the time where I could so herbekommen a color.
Yesterday, then gave the coincidence that we bought on eBay Classifieds some tool cabinets in which was still quite a bit of color, screws and all kinds of it. Coincidentally then this rifle differs in content as it stands [IMG]

As the parts then sometimes deleted. All this does not fit so that.

Therefore, I have all sanded again and something Battered.

The handwheel was not well liked in gray, so I have a little green paint thin painted on it and wiped immediately. I think I did it well hit the looks worn it.

Inasmuch as moving parts must be well lubricated, I have there times hurried along with black lacquer. This I have applied with a cotton swab and then the excess wiped off with a rag.

Looks so now than would grease it.

The rest I treated as such.

Then I have devoted myself to the steel cable. Since I have soldered to the end of a sleeve.

This fits into the drilled hole

    Here's a video.

And it also went a little further. But first, I may at Aquatuning thank you for the great package.

    Are 8x 120er radiators, 2x 500mm Reservoirs, 1x D5 pump, 1x CPU cooler, hose Smartcoils and fittings.

The 8 radiators are on the case in the circle placed above it looks as if a refrigeration unit fitted.
The ribs are slightly brown sprayed that they look old.
The radiators are still connected to folded sheets.
Up still takes a sheet with a 200mm fan rdauf then the air pushes or pulls through the radiators. I do not know yet what is there better.

About Ebay I bought with a DDR socket and plug for about 15 €.

    Here the can ...

    ... And the plug.

but I had to rebuild everything, because the socket of the plug should be, and the plug a can.
The reason is that if you would plug the cable into the socket of the wall so the pins of the DDR connector Stom would lead. That would be for an ignorant perilous.

To get the doses used in the plug mill I had something away with the Kress.

And already fits the pure there.

Only 2 holes drilled to screw to the insert.

The doses remodeling was something Partly because I had only a little filing.

When that was finished, I have looked after with to the knife switch.

First time it had to be dismantled.

On housing, it is to be mounted in order to conceal the ugly holes here.

Since I wanted to but did not have the switch so far down I had to make me a new plate. As model for the old plate on which the switch was mounted. (On the left side of the picture)
But I have also reused solid steel panel.

After I cut the sheet metal cut from behind the angle to make it easier to edge.

Since not it be nice if it is open above and below I have there still folded the sheet.

In addition I have cut with an angle grinder only times the radius of the case to the plate.

    then cut again.

    and edges.

    Fits perfectly

Then I have the sheet metal gray facing and painted black. If it now wears it looks natural.
The sheet metal is supposed old ausschauen, so I cloned the switch and the can after painting.
Thus, it gets scratches and damage.

After the switch and the mounting box I could build the whole plate to the housing.

So he would look Mounted open.

But since I intend to use it as the main switch I must mount it closed.
A hole in the lid and is out of the question, for me, the switch is too valuable. The switch are traded on the internet with nearly 200 €. [IMG]

If someone wants to see open need only 2 screws, then you see it.

So, that's it for today again.

    Thanks :D

Today we continued with the radiators.

First I had a piece of sheet metal and shear a sample taken whether the well as work as I imagine it.

The final corners, I then made of aluminum.
To get louder equal parts I've made to the crosscut saw a stop.

To obtain the form, as in the test sheet I built a template.
First I drilled with a 35mm Forstner bit the holes for the rounding.

Since there was another sheet in between I need to push the parts only pure.

Then I could even drill the first sheet.

The holes for bolting the sheets I have done the same with.

    Everything fits.

For edges I today kabe me an Kantbank welded together.

Since then, the panels were clamped and still pressed with a clamp down.

To always get exactly the same angle I have prepared me a chump.

Unfortunately, the diameter by about 1cm is difficult too big. For that I must find a solution tomorrow.

    So, that's again.

Then it goes on with the times alone entertainment

Today I have made but only once the holes in the plates for slots.
For that I had to build me a jig.

Rear I have a Festool clamp plugged into the T-slot, and front a bolt. The rest I've held in the hand.
Unfortunately, I had to re-align the router at each hole as the holes are not 100 were exactly.

After milling it came to filing.

Until now I had small Allen screws in it, but I do not like, so I have the likely to use 3mm carriage bolts.
Without shims but that is nothing.

Here then with washers. But had it only 2 because I must get even more tomorrow.

In addition I am still in the composite write the fittings made. Unfortunately, there's no 1/4 inch to 15mm compression fittings I had to take 3/8 inch and reductions.
Looks like I isrgendwie FUERDE build a crazy invention. [IMG]

Alone the stuff at the top of now has already cost € 120. The lower copper are Lötfittinge that I get in tomorrow's work.

    So, that's again.

The difference using the slots worked great, now the radiator circuit match.

Next, I then cut out the bottoms.

Rear I had cutouts make for drawer slides if you leave the platform down.

Then I was thinking how I will fix it best.
At first I thought of copper screws.

But have me but then opted for brackets and screws. That was just as well, because you can take the floors out quickly.

The bottom floor has got a slightly different shape and a hole that you can also take this out.

Since I have not liked the wooden edges, I have this dealt with brown oil. This is the same as of the "EON Powercell"

I must then go about it again that there is still a little darker.

    Here with being lowered platform

Next, I then pull technique again rebuilt.
Inside was one of the old roles that I needed outside now.
So I installed a new interior.

The good observer will notice that even 2 wheels and a steel cable are right come from the first cable to.

This rope is passed back to the outside. Here also the 2nd old roll is then got there.

On this rope is a steel container that can be filled with sand to neutralize the weight of the platform as far as necessary.
For testing, I have only once made a vice it.

Today I have also concerned the Lötfittinge.

So, that was about it again. Tomorrow I make the weight.

Today I have built the counterweight.

First of all parts from 1mm sheet cutting

Then it was welding which has almost lasted all morning.

When I was done with the welding I sanded everything and the top edge again cut off it will just.

To hang the weight I have welded a tab.
is gefüht the whole of two flat irons which are screwed with spacers on the housing.
I also have the weight still a subdivision with the flex cut it looks like single casting weights as cranes.

    [IMG] video

After all the work done were I still abraded with a serrated washer everything.
But this I did not it, all this attention we smooth because of crane weight the structure also roughly is.

    Then it was priming.

It continued with the Black lacquer

During drying, I made for the cover grommets.
In real weights this're here to lifting weights successive

    Leer has all 1,3kg

    with grit filled 5.2 kg

The weight I then divided by 4 and dabbed with mask and cloth.

    Here's fully assembled.

Of course, could not remain so new that. Therefore I min since then with sandpaper in different grains gone over it.
Then I lubricated it with a rag Green paint and wiped with brush cleaner again.
I hope I have not overdone it [IMG]

Next we went to the radiators. This I only sprayed lightly brown the Dirty they look.

Then I have all surfaces that might still be visible even painted green.

The sheets were not missing this community.

That's it for today then again. But I think 35 pictures and a video should be enough for a Update [IMG]

    And on it goes.
Today I have occupied myself with the radiator has already done more work to date as of many a round Case [IMG]
First, I needed a few metal strips which still cover the radiators up and down.
This I have, as well as the gussets, cut from an aluminum lid of Cases. So I modded a case in my Con [IMG]

To Cut I have built with some wood because the Alumunium otherwise becomes entangled in the saw blade and the bend then.

To drill the holes I made me a template.

Adjust so quite well. The holes can be seen later hardly as these are covered by the glands.

Because we are on the glands we do with it even more equal.
But first I had to fix up the copper pipes with 45 degree angles. But I made my first time an entire swinging pipes.

And in between yet approved ne cooling.

Then it was already to the soldering.

When I was finished with the soldering I've only times prepared me all the parts for assembly.

On the thread came anywhere ribbon Teflon.

When all the threads were done we went to the assembly.
So look out the compression connections.

Here 2 fittings with the soldered portion. Below, you can see the plates with the holes.

And always nice once around the circle.

Left and right are the connections

After that I occupied myself with the motherboard.
The Welded lift part I have painted today, but unfortunately it made no images. This one will get but more often seen.

Until after the ModdingMasters here is first break

Yesterday we went to the reservoirs on.

Unfortunately, the top and bottom different cover, so I had something tinkering.
First time had the intake pipe in the other cover, as I have but found that have not made the thread throughout. Therefore, I have to re-cut for now.

When that was done then I could see the distances of the glands measure and made the holes to drill and the first cut into the housing.

Of course, I had the same time also be piped.

In the second segment, I then also thought even think to take pictures for you [IMG]

And then came right off the second tube. Here they are then already all soldered.

For diePumpe I also plugged miss a few pieces together. I know just yet whether I like it that way.

From the pump off I must also once by half the memory.
For that I had to bend a pipe.
The rest explain the images. The radius is still too large, I must now, bend.

    So, that's again.
