    Assume your shopping online

Most laptops in that price range are going to be cheap Eco boxes that are laptop in name only.

Chromebook is probably the best in its price range biggest issue it's not windows

It's either that or a refurb unit. You can get Lenovo's/IBM's around that price but you'll be sacrificing something in terms of spec.

Plenty of Dell D630 laptops banging about around those specifications. Just get a Windows 8 key for £24.99 direct from Microsoft and Start8 from Stardock and you have a Windows 7 ish OS, or at least close enough for less money!

Web pages are so heavy nowadays that just any system might not cut it. You can also forget future proofing. Not to mention build quality -- she will likely have to buy another laptop next year when this one breaks right after the 1-year warranty runs out.

It doesn't really matter which laptop you pick for her. They are all crap at this price point.

Chromebook is best low priced laptop as i said before.

Its the best by a country mile as well. None of the others are worthy of consideration unless you must have windows.
