Post pics/specs of your setup. I'll start with this: 420 watts of pure music pleasure, 5cd changer, double tape deck etc.
I posted in the headphones thread which is pretty much the same but hey..... Computer, Mbox 2 pro/003+ (depending on computer) and I listen through these: Theyre a bit boxy, but nice a clear especially once you get used to them!
Computer + Cambridge Soundworks speakers to drive this: And then a run of the mill Onkyo 5.1 Reciever + 4 Bose surrounds(old ones, had em for a while) + 2 Inkel bookshelf speaker as a center and a 120w Energy Power Woofer too.
My main rig My Media PC My Xbox All feeding into this... outputting to a set of... Logitech X 540 5.1-CH The audio switch only can cope with stereo so my Media PCs soundcard is plugged strait into the speekers with only primary audio going through the switch. tada...?
why don't you use an amplifier? Then you could plug everything in and have it all in amazing surround sound.
I love my stereo setup. It's about 8 years old but was given to me as a freebie by my parents just over a year ago when they moved onto a canal boat. I'm sure most audiophiles would tell me it's nothing special but I think it sounds awesome.
Nice. I just god a couple or Rokit 5s. They are pretty nice. To bad I have to rebuild my desk a bit to get space for them... (Will post pics when I get it done)
My first amp was a cambridge audio and it rocked, i think i only paid about £180 for it. Always found their stuff to be really good and you didn't have to pay a fortune for it either.
From top to bottom: CD recorder, Mini disc recorder, CD player, Tuner, and Amp Oh and please excuse the dust
Another Cambridge Audio amp user here (540A) with a pair of Tannoy F1 Customs. Pretty much an entry-level hi-fi separates setup but that's all I could afford and they sound pretty good
Lots of cambridge audio here I've got a Cambridge Audio Azur 340A amp with a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 Speakers. Its only an entry level system, but it sounds amazing to me and i'm about to ad a proper DAC to it. unfortunatley it hasnt got a sub output :/ Its powerful enough for uni halls... the guys upstairs think its the Glen Bars music they hear most wednesdays and fridays xD Pics when i get back to uni
Not bad speakers are they. I used to have a pair but my mum's boyfriend managed to blow one of them up earlier this year.
denon 3910 dvd/cd player denon 2807 receiver linn keosa linn komponent 104 linn komponent 120 cyrus centre i know all the speakers are supposed to be the same but no linn centre speaker will fit in my furniture
Yeh, very nice speakers. my amps only 40w but with these it sounds soo much more. They could do with a bit more power in the lower frequencies though... how did he blow it up? ...just so mine dont follow
Not entirely sure. As far as I'm aware, one of the rear connections came loose when he was moving things around and next time he tried to play something there was a pop and instead of lovely lovely music there was horrible buzzing coming from the speaker.
