As i couldnt find a single clear split bay res, i decided to mod the dual one. (god knows how many xspc reses ive bought in my time.

However was told that not much call for the dual split, so they wont be making a single version.

    Cant be hard though eh?

    1. Cut on bandsaw, to give very nice clean edges

    2. Looks great, couldnt be happier

    3. yeah nice, not sure why not seen any like this before, gonna work great.

    4. Some polishing, and glued it up tight.

    5. Leaked .

    6. Gave up using this method

    7. No money to try again on another res.

    8. Bin

Looks like its gonna have to be a milled out one from block afterall.

Was only slight leak, in 1 chamber, but wasnt happy.

Could you not have tried to fix the leak rather than just binning it?

Now look what you made me do. :D.

Hunting through bins, to convert back to working product.

Sorry i dont have main pic (cam not with me, but i had 6 g clamps holding it all together this time.

I do have this pic though.

Will try to rig up for testing and pressure check soon, but its looking good.

Some polishing still to do etc, but its getting there.

Maybe this should now be moved to modding, not Disater .

Looks good Pablo, worth getting out of the bin. I tend to just throw stuff about when it goes wrong, on my last build I got the top panel wrong for I launched it down the garden. It cleared the fence and the ally way went through some seriously thick trees and landed in the pub car park..:D

    LOL at that story Jeff.

Perhaps if i tried that, i will get a res manufacturer to make me one and prove there is a demand for it.

I could swear Primochill made some that were around $90 each, and someone else and called it the Repack?

Edit: found them at Xoxide on clearance for $40, but out of stock and disco'd :(

Frozen has them for full price

    Yeah was looking at them.

Could only find non uk, also problem 2, they are made by Primochil.

Ive still got one of them typhoon 3s that leak brand new, but cba trying to get it replaced.

It also appears, that they only do coloured variants ?, however its possible they would be easier to change to clear?

If i find them in the uk, then i will likely get a couple for hacking apart.

Yeah its ok, does the trick, not 100% happy, but now im getting used to working in acrylic, i may try newer ones.

I have solvent now, so can keep experimenting, had considered doing a 4 chamber also.
