Morning all, Not sure what section this should go in, but basically I am wondering if anyone knows if you're able to find out WHERE you're able to get FTTH/FTTP and/or the fastest available broadband (which afaia is Virgin 200Mbps) without having to put in every single house address you're trying for ? Assuming that is how FTTH/FTTP works? Or is that an extra seperate thing you do on-top or something?
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/broadband-speed-in-my-area.html just have to input post code which is something? Take the outcome with a pinch of salt though
I know it's far from ideal, what you want is a map overlaid with speed info, but I couldn't find anything like that. At least this saves you the time of going between different providers' sites
Try this http://maps.thinkbroadband.com/?utm...188&lng=-3.43597299999999&zoom=7&type=terrain You can enable options on the side and it should give you speed test results from people in that area.
also if you cant get anything on cable, but have a phone number or full address, you can check dslchecker.bt.com
Cheers for all the suggestions people The rightmove one seems the most accurate so far. The google one shows that I should have virgin media. Which I don't. Watching a house having virgin installed 50 yds over the road on one side and other houses the other already having it. And me in the middle stuck with prehistoric 33k. Makes me cry. This is more for when I am house hunting soon. Thanks again.
