New Unit has seen PPD on my GTX 260 XXX jump from 5800 (384 point) to 7400 anyone else running them? note: dont think im running -advmethods either...
Its not a new unit but quite an old one. Its good to see these ones back on the servers as they give a good ppd. Just watch the GPU temps on them as they run it hot.
I did notice the fan was going a bit more (that's what made me look and check) Rivatuner has control of the fan to make sure temps never exceed 80C it keeps them at 77C and modulates the fan speed accordingly (was at 53%) but yeah good returns
OH MY GOD, My brother has just got a 472 point WU that is 19% in and predicts it'll be another 13hrs 55min!!!! THATS A PPD OF 656ppd FROM AN 8800GTS!!!!!! Its taking about 10min / frame whats worse is its return is in 2d 21hrs and that machine only folds intermittantly. I doubt it'll get it done before the deadline. Has anyone else seen these? old FahMon is reporting tham as 420's Im hoping theres something wrong with his machine :S
Well I left it running the wu overnight, its been going 12hrs 41mins and its at 79%. It is still reporting the same ppd. I have checked out the machine and it all seems to be in order. Its an XFX GTS 320 XXX which i personally further overclocked to 666/1616/1000 (from 580/1500/900) And it really is taking 10 minutes a frame! I can only hope that either A) FahMon has got the value wrong or B) its something odd with the Beta 1.25 core he's running. Any Ideas. Found the problem, a driver for his G15KB had gone doolally and was eating an entire core. stopped it and uninstalled and its running alrighty now. (up to 2555ppd) we all make mistakes And that night of wasted folding is gonna really bug me
