Lets hear all of those Operating Systems that you know of, and links if you would Im looking for a 3rd Ill have windows and linux But im trying to find another full featured Operating System Lets try to avoid other linux distros Thanks guys Heres the ones that I know of Sky OS React OS Then there is always making a hackintosh and seeing if I can get OS X on my rig What else is out there? Im really not a fan of the React OS It looks tooooooo old But im looking for others to be shown Thanks guys
You could try one of the BSD flavors. OpenBSD NetBSD DragonflyBSD FreeBSD or Haiku OS Which is related to BeOS. or Solaris 10 To name a few. I'm sure others will have more
PC-BSD and OpenSolaris are good, you could also try Debian GNU/kFreeBSD and Nexenta/Storm OS. This gives an overview: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_operating_systems Basically, there is the big tree of UNIX-like systems (*BSD, Linux, Solaris, OS X, etc...) and then there is Windows (NT). Not many other architectures exist after all. Maybe OS/2 and classic Mac OS are worth mentioning.
A lot of folks have fun with Amiga OS - that would be a killer for a whirl.....its pretty well looked after Other than that yeah I'd say a BSD....
