Now all i need is a cpu more than likely the i5, it plenty for me. I also need new ram, Is the G.Skill Ripjaw stuff as good as the hype ive heard? Does anyone have any that they'd like to share opinion on?

THIS is the stuff im looking at but does the tighter timings produce noticable advantages over the higher timings of the same ram?

Argh, I really need to start complaining to Ebuyer about the fact that they've relented on other people getting the board.

Mine also arrived today. I've got an i5 750 running at 3.0GHz on stock cooling and voltage. I'm using Corsair XMS3 DHX 1600MHz, if that's any use. Although the mobo automatically put them at 1066MHz and CL7 timings rather than 1600MHz and CL9.

Too much bl00! I hate it when there're shedloads of SMD LED's on boards, it just ruins it with their unmediated light output.

Thank goodness for that. It'd drive me bloody mad if I had one that couldn't be switched off; it's bad enough on my current board with two of them.

You can stick some voltage sensors in there or something.

Well Ive gone for the G.Skill Ripjaw PC3-12800C8 RAM and an i5 750. Should be here next week, now i just need to find some time to get it all put together

So the final specs will be:

    GD65
    i5 750
    Ripjaw ram
Gainward 4870 1Gb or BFG GTX275 (Ive got both just dont know which to use.)

    Thats the interesting stuff anyways.

Wtf, I was told they couldn't send me it.

Who did you talk too? what did you say etc?

Did they originally refund you - they've said to me that by refunding me they could deny it or something.

    This was ebuyer right?

    help :(

Yes it was ebuyer but i didnt speak to anybody on the phone, its was all done through their enote system, and trading standards who guided me with what i should be doing.

Ebuyer did refund my money but as i never cancelled the order (only they did for reasons that were invalid) they were still legally bound to supply my board.

If in any way they got you to cancel the board, they are no longer bound to this agreement.

As it stands Im just entitled to the board as you are, can you PM me or tell me your order # just incase they ask for evidence of being sent the board? thank you.

As Dragunov alluded to; you can stick multimeter probes on there for easy Voltage-reading. Clever idea really, I'm hoping DFI will add similar in future.

They won't do that, and if they do then it's very bad practise on their part (which, come to think of it, sounds about right).

So long as they took the money for it and you didn't cancel the order, and you reiterate your intention to involve Trading Standards, then you should be fine.
