Here is my new project , I am using a Lian Li PC-X1000 and adapt it to my style and taste.

It started by making a new midplate:

As you can see the midplate can be iluminated but i still haven't decided wich coulors I'll use so it is temporarely without lightning...

Then it was time to make an SSD mount, it was placed in the place of the bottom front fan ;)

Borrowed an SSD just for testing, I need to buy one xD

Case needed to be black so, it was powercoaded...

I am back, and now I have some time to give to my project ;)

So I received some material today to re-start the project :)

My new 2500k together with my Asus P8P67, I am hopping I can get 4.5GHz from them.

The board is very pretty and the build quality is as good as my 990FXA-UD3.

I revised the MDPC-X sleeving and it is still beautifull.

Excellent work made by Soul :)

I will change the PSU, I think I will go with a Corsair AX because of the black cables. I really need to get a SSD to make use of that beautifull SSD mount!

The top of the case, where I have my HD and my Lamptron FC6, I am not sure on where to put my HD, but I think that when the new PSU arrives I will make use of the original case bays.

Two pics of the work made today.

The front bays aren't as I'd like them to be, I think I will try to make a acrylic cover or maybe some original lian li 5.25'' covers

I am going on vacations so now only hardware news, I will buy a new graphics card as soon as I sell my 1055t and my UD3, a Corsair H80 and a Corsair AX, the precise model will depend on wich graphics card I choose to buy, maybe a HD5970 or a GTX580 :)

Hope you'll like it, and I will try to post regular updates :)

    A little update :)

Lian Li sent me these plain aluminium covers I couldn't find. Now the front of the case will be much more beautifull :D

Now I need to choose bettween a HX-1000 fully MDPC-X sleeved or a AX-750 brand new. I like the HX-1000 better, but I don't think I need that much power :/

Are you water cooling if so you could use a RAM Cooler like EK or bits power to cover the missing fins

What did you use for those rivets, a Hammer? The inner OCD in me is screaming drill and redo them!

Fancy photo's don't make up for slack modding

im guessing the rivets are all angled that way because the side and bottom rivets are all next to bends so he couldnt get the nose of the rivet gun straight....

If you want to redo those rivets im pretty sure on here somewhere i have seen someone (i think it was on one of nutmans mods but dont hold me to that) make a extender with small tube or similar so he could get the rivets in when they are next to bends....... But thats only if u r that picky.. Love the build so far dude.

I guess I could try watercooling, but the EK costs as much as the Corsair Fins but thanks for the sugestion :)

I don't know, as I said it wasn't me who made it, it was store as I didn't have the tools to make it. Also it is barely visible on real life but if I get a chance(because I will probably get some more covers) I will ask him to redo that :)

Thanks for the critics, they are always welcome :)

    Thanks mate :)

not to worry Freddy, the forum isn't going anywhere!

Selling parts to raise funds to continue the build typically takes time.

I love the photos btw, and since your MSI is your mobo choice, are you planning to change the midplate illumination to blue?
