Personally I prefer the ASUS approach to hybrid cooling with their ROG Poseidon range. This system looks tacky and more like a botch job to me rather than a professional design.

Considering the dual GPU nature I am surprised that no SLi or XFire set-ups were compared.

We would have had we had two samples of anything on hand. Sadly it was too short notice to get anything else in, hopefully we'll be able to for when Titan Z comes in.

    Woot for AMD math

    1 x 8pin power is 150w

    so 2 is 300w and

    the slot for 75 w = 375.

wonder where the extra 125w is coming from ;)

This card needs a lot more current per connector, so that's where :p

cant increase the voltage since that's fixed at 12v , so they must be stuffing more amps through....

Yeah, you need them connected to separate 12V rails that can each supply 28A.

It's pretty ugly. For that and the ridiculous price I think I'll pass.

so its openly way above pcie spec then?

    since 175 (w)/12(v) = 15(a) or just under

this it it at 336watts per 12v rail....

That 4k performance makes it look fairly future proof. Were it more competitively priced vs Titan Black they could have a winner.

Guessing with regards to the BF4 bench, the mantle driver doesn't support this yet?

Personally I think the box looks nicer than the card itself. Can't deny the performance figures though.

You can just tell that a few years down the line, this generation of GPUs is going to be one where we look back and ask "What the F*** went wrong with the pricing there".

Pricing is crazy, 2 780s or 2 780 ti or 2 r290x would be both cheaper and faster and probably consume less power in the nvidia solutions.

You could also likely afford to buy a seperate water cool loop with the 2 780s or 2 r290x setup.

Nice to see these cards made but they are for milionaires as id take the 2 seperate cards over duel gpu any day of the week. My last experience of duel gpu was awful and I wont be going back to it again.

As for 4k gaming this card or 2 of any of the mensioned cards will only satisfy you if you are happy under 60fps I never could be.

Performance wise maxwell should be alot quicker than the current cards and hopefully a more realistic price to boot ( have my douts on this one )

Computer technology in general pricing as gone up alot in recent years.

Cryptocurrency mining has been keeping the AMD cards' prices artificially high too. So the Nvidia prices are becoming absurd.

Wonder how much R9 295X2 would be without that watercooling kit? As anyone laying down that sort of cash will probably put their own block on and integrate it into an existing loop.

Seems that way, though I doubt that actually means anything.

Good performance for what it is and decent temps.

Still cannot think of anything else to say other than Meh!

The actual GPU temperature is probably closer to 70 degrees, though compared to even a single R9 290X that's pretty damn good, and as I said I didn't see the card throttling.
