I have a Mac server with several sharepoints on it using the Server program.

Using a Mac to access the server, I can see all of the files and sharepoints without any problems at all. Everything is browseable etc.

When trying to connect to it with a PC, I can see it as a device on the network, but cannot connect to it to view any fileshares etc.

I have checked if SMB has been disabled and according to the Mac Server SMB is running fine.

    Plz help!

Also, any recommendations for software on a MAC server would be greatful.

    What version server?

Is SMB enabled on each individual share using server manager?

Not using a mac as a server would be the first port of call ;)

Aside from that, have you loaded up wireshark to see what's happening? It may be that Windows is set to the helpful homegroup stuff and it isn't playing nice with SMB on Mac, or it could be that the windows box is sending the wrong creds to the Mac and as such not letting you see.

(and make sure you're sending the computer name over in the user field as well, eg COMPUTERNAME\username)
