I am having a problem with my EVGA GTX 660 and it has been suggested I uninstall the Nvidia Audio driver but on restart it reinstalls. Can I stop this somehow. It might not be the cause of my problems but worth a try. http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=261600
Driver sweeper? The issue is that the audio controller is a hardware device that cannot be disabled. There might be the option to soft disable it in device manager but only if you can find it. Right now the driver will stay on your PC until you forcibly remove it, so rebooting will only make it put the driver straight back on. IIRC Driver sweeper can take it out (in safe mode).
Reinstall the nVidia driver, custom install -> untick 'HD Audio Driver' and tell it to do a Clean Install while you're there...
Just to clarify, are you talking about the GPU driver and if so am I to remove said driver then reinstall the GPU driver without the audio part?
thats correct Glenn remove the old driver and reinstall the driver but this time use custom install and untick Audio driver
Sure is hot in my spare room i've taken to pointing a desktop fan at it, too hot to sit and play games.
No heatwave in Edinburgh or my flat, because of it's position I don't see much of the sun in my flat.
