I restarted my machine after having it up for 2 days and after about 15 seconds of logging in my screen went blank with white background and black stripes. I start in safe mode and everything works fine. What could this be?

Monitor your GPU's temperature in GPU-Z or HWMonitor, see if overheating is a factor.

    Speaking of GPUs....oh dear lol.

Any chance that your i3 530 overclock is unstable? 4.5GHz is quite higher overclock, and unstable CPU overclock can crash windows and BSOD...

This would be my first guess as well.

Also, you may have the wrong settings for your RAM.

I think you should try resetting your CPU clock back to stock speed, and see if windows still crashes. If it doesn't, then unstable OC would clearly be the cause.

It's stable, and my RAM timings are actually CL7 atm, just CL9 is rated.
I've reset everything to stock and its a graphics crash according to windows. I'm using a Titan Fenrir cooler with a scythe gentle typhoon 1850rpm and its faced upwards towards the 200mm antec big boy exhaust fan.
It's not unstable OC i've reset everything to stock and no bsod just blank screen. Windows reports a graphics card problem (I checked in safe mode). I think it's a driver problem.

Personally, I think your graphics card bit it, but just to be on the safe side, have you tried rolling back the drivers? Or updating them?

The AMD package failed to detect my graphics card so it could pick the appropriate driver which meant the .exe failed, so yes.

    Dual boot cheesecake :D

Anyway everything's fine now I put in my 4650 as well and installed the drivers while using the 4650 as the primary display device. Thank you everyone for helping :thumb:
