I am about 30 hours in and it's absolutely epic. Love the dialogues and the voice acting. The combat, and especially the camera, is a bit frustrating. As is the lack of a stash, meaning I am spending more time than I should managing my inventory.

Really glad I picked this up. Make sure you register to "Dragon Age Keep" website and run the story of DA1 and DA2. It's well worth it and the whole game will make more sense.

Are you playing on PC using KB&M?

Yep, on PC with KB and mouse. But I don't think it would be better with a gamepad. The camera is like a "physical" camera. It doesn't go high enough in open environments, and indoors it doesn't go higher than the ceiling.

The camera in this game is literally the toughest boss in any game I've ever played, including Dark Souls and Witcher. Really hope there's a patch for the control and UI soon.

Nice review, I think I'll wait for a few games patches to sort things out!

That's precisely what's making me hold off buying it...but I don't see how (or why) they'd release a patch to change it if it's just terrible by design (rather than by mistake)

There is a mod for the camera apparently. I don't have it yet, the combat worries me. I hated DA2 action combat. I loved DAOrigins more tactical combat with some hard fights.

I shouldn't have bought this game, it had a severe negative impact on my sleep last night...

Bioware is at least aware of some of the issues plaguing the pc version, so maybe there is hope they will patch some of them:

    From the linky above..

"While I also appreciate a Bioware person finally saying something, I have to agree. If anyone--anyone in the development team with any PC RPG gaming experience had bothered to play with KB&M they would have immediately gone... "well, this is Not Good, guys, we need to fix this.""

    My sentiments exactly.

I really want to love this series but the whole pause-able combat just turned it off for me.

    I just... can't.

I want action RPG. Not animated chess.

I'm thinking about picking this up but I haven't played the earlier games in the series. Would going straight to this game be confusing, as in jumping into the middle of the mass effect series? Or it is like GTA, doesn't matter?

Will Dragon Age Inquisition ever run on an overclocked Pentium G3258?

Will Dragon Age Inquisition ever run on an overclocked Pentium G3258? I am in the final stages of building a new PC and I really want to save some money and overclock a G3258 as part of my build. With an Asus Ranger and an AR01 cooler I hope to achieve speeds of at least 4.6 Ghz, possibly 4.8 Ghz from this CPU. Surely I don't have to fork out an extra £110 - £120 just to play this one game.

Sounds good but will wait for the bugs to work out. Hopefully at that time it will be in the 75% off Steam sale.

I much doubt it, seeing as it's only on Origin :(

It'll probably be available for £10 next year in an Ultimate edition.

It'd be helpful, but not needed. Inquisition stands on it's own as a game because the protagonist is different to the previous DA games.
