Time for a new worklog At the moment we´re competing in a modding competition hosted by a german PC Mag, the compo is called "hell machine" and thats also the theme which we have to work out.... There are only a few guidelines, which mainly involves the hardware which had to be built in... and a deadline....66 days.... Yesterday, finally the cases which we will use arrived....so that we can now start over and work everything out.... After unpacking everything....we first put the case together so that we could see how big it really will get.... after that we started the disassembling so that we could arrange everything like we want it ....
Does TheGreatSatan know you are using his numbers? If you are planning what I think you are planning, this may have prehistoric ape men gathering around it.
thx m8´s!! as next....we marked the first parts which we had to cut out.... and then we made the cutout beside that a nice package from Enermax arrives.... we also started the printing process of a few skulls which we want to integrate in our mod....
I would guess you did a decent amount of touching up with those skulls. When I print something like that it doesn't look that good nice work
yeah it´s better than tv you can watch while the printer create things....(its like wooohaa Star Trek is coming up ) we love it! and everyday you discover new things which can be done with it... and the best thing is the prices were really dropping for those printers...i think we spent approx. 600-700 € to build our first one (with a few replacement parts included, like a melted hotend, a second motherboard etc.) and you would guess right before we could paint them we had to sand the surface and we also used a small amount of filler for smaller spots.... yeah it´s a part of the competition that we use the upper part of the second case to build an bigger version of the interceptor pro like a interceptor pro pro in the last days we already continued the building process....as next we printed a few other skulls (in different sizes) and we also started to build the reservoir for the watercooling loop....
time for the next update... in the last days we continued the work on the res.... beside that we made a quick sketch for the lower sidepanels.....we also made a first test piece...just to see which changes we have to make...before we start to cut out a second one....
thanks m8!!! time for the next update... in the last days we continued the work on that beast, first we had to cut out the final metal parts for the lower section so that we could attach them to the sidepanels ... One of the drive Bays has also changed its position from the main Case to the lower section.... and the res gets nearly finished.....
Thanks m8´s!! in the last days, we continued the work on this build....but before i start with the first pictures i want to send a big thank you to all the sponsors which are involved in this contest and also a big thank you to Aquatuning for their awesome support over the last years !!! A few packages for the System were delivered in the last days.... Beside that we also made some progress on the case.... First we cut out a few radiator mounts from those parts we didn´t need for our build.... and assembled them to the lower section so that we can mount 2 480mm radiators in that place.... For easier assembling / disassembling we had to cut a small stripe of metal away so that you could reach all screws easily.... We also closes some holes in the backside of the case, because we won´t need them and it will give it a much cleaner finish....
time for the next update: in the last days we closed the last few holes in the back of the case.... Beside that we cut out a few flames for the top of the case.... ...later we have to bend them in the middle....so that they follow the surface of the top sheds... at least we started to attach the prepared "6" cutouts to the backside ...so that we can start the painting process as soon as possible....
time for the next update.... in the last days we made a small engraved plate with all the logos of the sponsors etc.... it will be mounted on the already prepared spot on the backside of the case.... beside that we already painted the first spots of the case (those which have already been overworked) and we also started to cut out the window in the main side panel...
