Sweet NEW BIOS HDD/SSD Benchmark using the new Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Maximized mode) So at work I had the idea to make a computer case that looks like the hardened electronics drawers I work with. I'm going to take my current system and build the new case for it. Pics to come soon, I'm still working on drawing them up in Photoshop. Heres a few pics I found on the internet since I cant actually take photo's of the drawers.
Small update ok, so photoshop and I finally came to an agreement and here is what I have so far...Its very rough. Also here's where it is going to go. All I need to do is remove the hinges on the right, and that shelf.
Sorry for the lack of updates, Battlefield 3 has me focused on something else.. I did however just buy a Radeon HD 6770 for the rig, because the o/b video couldnt keep up with online multi-player.
ok so, thank you google. I found Google sketchup and was able to render the case. Now I just need to find a shop in the Cheyenne area that can cut and weld up this frame.
So, Its been I while since i worked on this project....I almost thought it wasn't going to happen.. Had to make some design changes..aluminum was going to be too expensive for BETA version of this case...So I picked up a sheet of 1/2" MDF.. Pics to come tomorrow of the work I get done tonight... Can I get some thought's from those of you that have been around... Would I run into issues with air flow if i was using 2x 120mm INTAKE fans and 2x 140mm EXHAUST fans? I'm thinking if I lower the fan speed of the 140's I can keep only a slight negative pressure in the case. Would I be correct in the assumption?
Sadly, I'm closing this thread for now, I'm not liking the way its turning out...When I can create this case the correct way I will re-post
