Oops..... Corporate dollars.... Sorry, wrong picture! ;)

On the upside, with barnettworks hardware "loss", the team overtake threat from overclockers.net has abated.

Some of his team-mates have "get well soon Barnetworks" in their sigs, that's all I know.

According to the forum posts I've read, he was hospitalized with a torn ligament and his "borrowed" hardware "re-allocated". (The get well card and cash bounty $$$ "prize" from admin@overclock.net will no doubt help with the healing process.)

Yeah his production is now Zero. Something fishy going on there, pretty sure a torn ligament wouldn't end my folding production entirely. Oh well it's all in our favour! (my morale centre has been lost when it come to folding! :) )

From what I read online he bent down to move a server and something went twang. He then lost all feeling from the waist down.

I read on another forum that the company he works for is upgrading their machines to i7 processors.
Also that there is another folder at the same company (Edit: probably does not work for the same
company but one in the same area) who folds for MaximumPC. He used to get a million ppd but this is
ramping down now output graph. He took no part in the Chimp Challenge and his team finished 4th.

I think it is annoying that the results of the Chimp Challenge seem to depend on what a few super-folders
    decide to do.

mutsu (MaximumPC), clamatowas (EVGA) and barnettworks (OCN), are/were the 1M+ PPD "super" folders. Mutsu didn't take part in the challenge, clamatowas "lost" his hardware just before the challenge started, and barnettworks "won" the challenge.

"And for each server for 2x CPU's your looking at $2,500-3,000 a peice." [Clamatowas]

A bit steeper than I can manage ...

Agreed. Its annoying for the whole F@H teams competition. But at least they are spread around different teams. What CPC/Bit-Tech lacks is a mega folder. We haven't even got any 100K PPD folders. Yet !

I can manage that rate but not sustain it for more than a few hours - too much stuff in the way.

Ali - you don't seem to be folding for the CPChimps!

Yes we do, his username is phoenicis, but because of the Chimps challenge all his points are going into that.

I never thought I'd be earning so many PPD ! Actually, it's not something I've thought about - I'm still fiddling with priority etc, but I'll read the Chimps thread this evening and give it some serious consideration.

And I actually own, maintain and pay the electricity for all the kit. There's a novelty. Well, actually, there are 2 x 8800s at Dad's house that he pays the leccy bill on

Thanks for remembering me Frank. How soon we are forgotten :sigh:

That aside, for the moment it actually feels much better than when I was folding under my own username. Go Chimps :D

Be great if we could welcome you on board manxminx.

Yeah, perhaps there should be a chimps challenge open only to those who own the hardware they are using and pay their own electricity bills

Thanks for the offer, but much of the stuff is other things I like to do, or mean to get around to sometime, or am waiting for other people to do, or I've promised to do for other people. When I decide to properly sort out my home network, I may need help though ...

That's good to know! I thought I was the only one without some uber air conditioned server room at work with free leccy and couple hundred PC's all waiting to be folded on. :thumb:
