Hi everyone, A few months back i set out to refine and improve my white TJ07 build, and it is finally done. The change list was small, but significant in terms of impact and performace: - Modify Asus Sabertooth Thermal armour to take a waterblock - Spray everything in correct colour theme (including thermal armour and my GT 1450s!) - Upgrade from moderate overclocking 2500k to good clocking 2600k - Upgrade to quad rad instead of triple - New mid plate, internal fan plate and side mounted fan controller drawn in cad and laser cut for accuracy and professional look - Upgrade from GTX 480 to 7970 - Make custom GPU backplate with my snowflake from the last build - Custom sleeved PSU cables - New D5 pump - New acrylic EK CPU block - New USB 3 and card reader front bay - Side mounted drive bay, giving access to HDD and SSDs from side panel - New Motherboard tray with medusa design instead of redundant fan mounts I really wish i had done a work log Anyway, i should say thanks to many of you on here for help and advice on the way. Theres too many to list, but i would like to say a special thank you to Paz45, Big Elf and 23RO_UK - I am so appreciative of your time and assistance Please excuse some of the pictures as I am still learning, but I intend to take some more (read better) snaps when i get the chance. Happy to post up some benchies if anyone is interested. I like the top window! Any more details on what you did with the mobo exactly? Curious about the tray as well.
Bascially your not supposed to be able to fit the waterblock AND the thermal armour together - So i got out the pencil, ruler, clamps and dremel and made it fit!! Then I sprayed it along with my GT 1450 fans
Lovely job, Bobby. Is that a Zalman ZM-MFC1 fan controller on the side? Just wondering if you modded the LEDs on it.
Yes it is matey - Didnt mod the LEDs, although i may do. Bit of a long story but this particular model turns the LED red when the fan is anything higher than the lowest voltage. May not sound like a problem to a normal person, but considering ive just spend the last couple of months making sure everything was white or blue its a bit annoying!!!! Thanks for the comments though. Theres more pics in my profile album or on my flickr.
Been waiting for the piccies for ages. Very impressed with the finished result, you built a classy system.
You've truly outdone yourself on that Bobby!!! Nothing looks better than a well thought out clean TJ07 and that is up there with the best of them mate; the thought and effort you've put into the rebuild is readily apparent and it works so so well Absolutely f*cking superb +rep beyond any doubt
Thank you Paul. Coming from you, that means a great deal to me As always there are a few things to fine tune and i need to take a few more shots of the whole case.
Hehe told u i had plans for it one day! Top bit of kit from you as always. Although i want some of the rounded thumb nuts rather than the disc ones, just for cosmetic reasons of course
Drop me a PM with your home address and I'll have some on there way to you tomorrow (I had an inbox clearout and went overboard )
Done lol. There you go again with the excellent customer service and help! Will rep you up when im on my pc.
I think I've got some M4 white nylon dome nuts that would fit on the end of the CPU block clamps. Edit: They're not white, more of a natural colour like the wire housings
