    Hello all,

I have become interested in using Linux but don't want to install it onto my hard drive until I am sure I want it. Is there any way I can boot Linux from a Cd and use it that way.

    Many thanks

Yup, most linux distros have what's called a live cd.

You can also install virtualbox or vmware on your current windows and try out different Linux distros to see which one you like most.

+1 for using vmware. Because linux will still be quick in a virtual machine. I have Ubuntu and Kubuntu running and I had Mint of a netbook for a while.

If you've got any older computers you could also try linux that way. From my experience linux runs a lot better on older hardware than the equivalent windows versions do.
