I have just replaced most of the hardware in my CM120 mini ITX pc.

    It now contains.

    MSI Z87I motherboard
    4GB 1333mhz Crucial sport ram
    G3258 cpu
    Coolermaster 550w modular psu
    Crucial 128GB MX100 SSD
    and it's original 560TI.

It gets as far as the Install screen but when you try and install it comes up with a message saying a media driver is missing and to insert the disk containing the required driver.

I have tried inserting both disks that came with the motherboard but it can't find the driver on them so I'm stuck.

Is this because I'm trying to use windows 10 as I haven't had this sort of thing happen since Windows XP?

Windows 7 installed fine but I really wanted 10 on it so I didn't have to mess about with all the updates.

One thing I found googling was that the problem could be with burning the win 10 ISO at too fast a speed.

have you tried installing without the 560TI?

I have the same CPU and 10 runs fine,

Whilst you shouldn't need to [or at least i didn't...], you may need the Intel RST driver from here.

I'm assuming you're doing a fresh install and not upgrading it from 7...

I set up a windows 10 preview usb stick in the end and it installed in minutes with no issues.

Seems like it didn't like my dvd or drive for some reason.

Had to borrow a usb stick as I didn't have an 8gb one. Need to buy one now as the install was so much faster than dvd.

Yes fresh install on a new ssd.

No reason to not buy a couple of 8gb usb drives with prices now. Make sure you get a decent usb3.0 drive. Cheapish models can read 100mb read speeds. I tossed all my thumb drives that were 4gb or smaller. I don't even think I will have an optical drive in my next build.

SanDisk Ultra 16 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive 100 MB/s £6.28 with amazon prime.
I will order the 128GB model for the smart TV at work on the slow 15 hour shifts :D
(the next time I go to China or if it goes on sale in the UK)

Think I'm going to get a couple of 8gb ones as they are big enough to put windows on, I'll have one for win 10 and one for win 7 (I don't use 8)

Given they are so cheap I bought a couple of 32 gig USB drives. Very handy. I did have quite a few 8 gig ones but I seem to have lost them somehow.
