    Hey,

im really out of the loop with AMD systems ever since i switch to intel after my opty 144.

i have a 955 in this board and i was wondering on the HT speed

the HT link speed on auto is 2000mhz is this figure acutal or is it double pumped ? bios will allow me to take it to 4000mhz MAX.

also the CPU northbridge freq is also 2000mhz this can go up to 3000ish (forgot exact figure)

im guessingf this is not correct and i need to manually set the correct freqs ?

im also guessing the HT link should be 16bit ?

    thanks in advance

they've all jumped ship to intel.

anyway, from what i can remember, you will get higher bandwidth per second with 16 bit, but its half duplex. the figure you are seeing should be actual, since there was ability to do 2000mhz last time i used amds in 2008ish. also if i remember correctly the northbridge more has to do with like the pcie speeds and other interconnects, and as such i usually didn't fool around with it too much.
    * my memory is really rusty on this so i may be incorrect.

my guess after a touch of research is 2000mhz is standard so why do scan list HT speed as 3600mhz ?
