Hey all new to diy electronics and soldering. Making some fan and led light splitter boards out of "veroboard" and wondering do I have to do anything to the board before and or after soldering headers onto the board. The boards are very basic power distrubution splitters nothing fancy. Thanks in advance cheers. EDIT Also wondering how much power can veroboard handle is 12v 5 amp do able?
Not sure what veroboard is rated for but if you want to use it anyway just run a line of solder over the copper traces. You can also run some large gauge copper wire down the tracks and solder that on. Before soldering give the tracks a quick run down with something abrasive to clear any grease or corrosion. Afterwards maye just a quick clean to remove flux residue.
