Hi, Does anyone know of a IC which can substitute the LM308? Need this for a IR project I'm working on. Fast answers are greatly appreciated...
isnt the 308 a quad op amp? tho at college we used 741 and 108 without worrying which it was really (tho pinout might be different) *shrugs* we just looked up the pinout when we needed em
Yep, an op amp. So you think I could use the 741, then? I have datasheets of both, so the pinouts aren't a problem.
u may have to rearrange the pinouts and will definitelyu if u r moving from 308 to 741 because a 308 has 4 op amps in it and a 741 has 1 op amp in it ok? and i think they actual specs of the op amps are similar but i cant remember too well best look at the datasheets yerself and work it out
its 8 pm here and ive still got to write a lab report *grumbles* ok so a bit off topic oh and a lab report is pretty much an essay /me hates essays
lol At least I don't have to work on any lab report, but I have an essay to write... (whoops, bit off topic... )
the 108 is a better ic probably better response over different temps / frequencys if your doing stuff that requires a high quality signal where the shape / amplification ammount matter a lot use 108. if on the other hand it dosent matter too much about the quality of the signal or accuracy (led temp sensors etc) then go cheep hmmm sorry im not so good at explaining
Not good at explaining? I understood pretyy clear what you meant. Could I substitute the 308 with a 108/208, then?
108, 208 and 308 are all about the same specs, just the first is single, second dual and third a quad package. Full spec
Ok, so I just went through Elfa's online catalog of op amps again. I turns out they have none of the LMx08's!?! I think that's too bad. Does anyone know of a place which sells these to Norway (online) with good prices, and not to high shipping?
